I’ve always wanted to put together a little meet-up but I had no idea how that would look. I’m not an event planner, I have no idea how that budget should look and I wouldn’t even know where to start. But luckily, I have friends at Tula who reached out to me about putting this meet-up together and they made an amazing event possible this past weekend!
In case you haven’t heard my talk about Tula yet, here’s a quick breakdown. Tula is a probiotic skincare line created by a gastroenterologist that nourishes your skin while protecting it and helping it glow every single day. They use probiotics in every single one of their products, but they also have things like blueberries, turmeric, vitamin C, vitamin A, and vitamin E. I could share all the other amazing ingredients, but I’ve done that in previous posts. The gist of it all – Tula makes products that brings your skin to life. When you start to use some of Tula’s products, you’re going to see your skin being to glow, look smoother, and feel more hydrated than ever. Tula freaking rocks.
And this event was all about introducing PaleOMG readers to the science behind taking care of the body inside so it can look it’s best on the outside. Which is why we decided to host the event at Just BE Kitchen. This restaurant is a completely gluten-free and paleo restaurant that proves to people that you can eat healthy while still enjoying what is put in front of you. They want to nourish you and make you feel your best every time you walk in the door. So when people purchased a ticket to come to this event, they were welcomed with some delicious food from Just BE Kitchen! They were able to try their new chicken salad with homemade crackers, their chia seed pudding with homemade granola, and their brand new cauliflower hummus! The guest also received some wine from Fit Vine Wine and Health-Ade Kombucha!
Once guests grabbed their snacks, they were also given a grab bag of goodies. And when I think of grab bags, I think of pretty pathetic products or just pieces of paper with discounts that nobody ends of using. But Tula worked their asses off to make sure they were THE BEST grab bags ever. Not only did they have a ton of sample sizes of Tula products, but money bags were filled with the full size Tula products! Then Tula reached out to a ton of my favorite companies who were happy to donate! The grabs bags were freaking amazing! They included:
- Primally Pure Deodorant
- LivingProof dry shampoo
- Schmidt’s Natural soap
- TrèStiQue Makeup
- Rise Bar
- Taza Chocolate
- Simple Mills
- Purely Elizabeth
- Mamma Chia
- Enlightened
After the snacks and grab bags, it was all about chatting with everyone who came! I shared my story of how I started my blog, how I started eating paleo, the difference it made in my life and my own skin journey. My skin has gone through so much over the past 6 years and I’ve tried to be as open and as honest as possible throughout. And Tula has been a product that I have fallen in love with and feel so lucky to get to work with. Every time I put Tula’s products on my skin, it’s instantly glowing. It’s pretty amazing.
We also talked about the importance of probiotics and a functional gut to help with our skin. If our gut isn’t healthy, it often shows that on the outside. And with Tula’s actual probiotics and amazing products, you can make a huge difference in your gut and in turn, your brain as well. Did you know that 70% of your serotonin is made in your gut? Serotonin makes you feel good so when your gut isn’t healthy, the brain isn’t healthy either.
After our little chat and answering any questions people had, everyone was given a little Tula skincare consultation to figure out what products were best for them and many people took home even more products than were in their bag! But not to worry, if you couldn’t make the event, you can take the Tula Skincare Finder on their website to figure out what is best for you and your needs! AND you can use the code PALEOMG at checkout to get 20% off your order! Here are my favorite products below that I use daily and weekly!
Then to end the evening, we did a meet & greet outside! Luckily the wind in Colorado finally stopped for a hot minute so it was actually enjoyable to be outside! I was able to meet SO MANY amazing women, many who said they have read the blog since the beginning (which is bananas because this blog goes back to 2011!!). Everyone had their own story, but at the end of the day, they are all just trying to find their own happy and healthy journey just like me! And healthy glowing skin is a huge part of that.
Huge thank you to everyone who came out and made to feel so comfortable and welcomed. I get pretty nervous for any kind of public speaking and sweated through this dress MAJORLY. But everyone who came made me feel so happy to be there! And HUGE thank you to Tula for making this meet-up a reality! I could not have done it without them! I had so much fun and I’m hoping more of these type of events in different places are possible in the future! Fingers crossed!

This looks epic! GFY! ???? A question: I’m thinking of trying Primally Pure deodorant. Which scent? Any discount codes? Your podcast is the BEST! TY ????
Thank you for the discount, Juli! I am going to go order the trial kit right now! You look stunning in that dress. Did you post where you purchased it? I might have missed it somewhere.
Have fun sailing!

Hi Juli,
I attended the event and truly enjoyed it! So far I have purchased the Tula face wipes and the Primally Pure deodorant, and I’m hooked! My daughter wasn’t able to attend the event last minute but still got her goodie bag and she is in love with the deodorant too.
PS- to the other comment above, I love the Geranium scent (flowery but not overpowering) and my daughter gets the charcoal, which has a very mild scent. Both scents are light and very natural, not perfumy.
FYI:
1. The goodie bags were amazing and were absolutely worth every penny of the purchase price.
2. The event was great! I wonder if they would consider sharing some of the recipes?
Please include me for any future events in Denver. My friend and I made it a girls getaway night and now others want to join. 🙂
