I’m feeling like a failure right now. Not because I forgot to put dry shampoo in my hair last night and it’s greasy AF today, but because I told you I would share a Worthwhile Wednesday post every month…then forgot. I gave you my word. But the last time I shared a Worthwhile Wednesday post was in October. OCTOBER! How will you ever trust me again? Two months came and went without any WW in your life. Did you notice? No. Did you care? No. But I am still here to apologize, ok?
Ok now that we have worked through that tough spot in our online relationship, we can move our way to my top 5 favorite products of the month! I’ve share different products in the past like the BootySprout, Poppi, and even the Bean Protocol, so today it’s all about new products and brands I continue to go back to day after day! And first on the list is the Revlon One Step Volumizer Hair Dryer! This hair tool has become a weekly staple and hair obsession. I normally just dry my hair then curl it, and I’ve always turned to curling it because I have pretty fine hair that tends to lie flat on my head and curling it gave it extra volume. But with this Volumizer Hair Dryer, it gives your hair SO MUCH VOLUME without two steps. It’s pretty much like getting a blowout, but you only have to hold one tool in your hand instead of a hair dryer AND a brush. I haven’t worn my hair straight much in years because I felt like it did nothing for me, but now that I have this tool, I wear my hair straight all the time because it’s so voluminous and it lasts for days! I’m simply in love with this tool and have barely touched my curling iron since I got it!
If you watch my stories, you’ve probably seen me talk about Active Stacks Protein Powder. My best friend told me about it after she gave it a try after all other protein powders failed her. She tends to have stomach issues with almost any protein she tries so when she gave this one the green light and told me it tasted like a frosty, I was IN! I freaking love the taste of this protein powder. I like the blend it with flax milk, which is another great source of protein, and ice, and it’s straight up a delicious frosty. I actually add beans, too, but that creeps some people out, but it’s great source of fiber and protein and you can’t taste it! Anywho, I love that it has 22g of protein per serving and I love that they reached out to me to give me a code for PaleOMG readers! When you use code PALEOMG, you’ll received for 10% off your Active Stacks order!
I don’t know about your hair, but fine is thin and fine, which means pony tails look like a flaccid penis. It just ain’t cute. Luckily I was at an event in 2019 where they gave out phone cord spiral hair ties so I gave one a try and was so excited to see my ponytail with a little personality, a little excitement, if you will. So I went on the hunt for different types, quite a few fell short, until I found these Colorful Spiral Hair Ties. These have been the best I’ve tried for my length and amount of hair. If you watch my stories when I’m in the gym, my ponytail always looking flouncy and bouncy, all thanks to the Volumizer Hair Dryer and these Spiral Hair Ties. Total game changer for my hair type! They say no crease…they definitely leave a crease, but the hair flattens out over time so the crease doesn’t stay around! Hope you love them, too!
Whenever my skin is feeling dry or dull or just not looking its best, I ALWAYS turn to this Beyond Complexion Get Glowing Mask. I’ve used Beyond Complexion products for years now, but just got this mask a few months ago and it’s become my favorite mask I’ve ever tried. It leaves my skin feeling smooth, hydrated, and refreshed. I always turn to this mask whenever I’m on my period and think I look like a hot mess…and it instantly helps. Plus it lasts forever because a little bit goes a long way! Love this company and what they are doing in the skincare space!
If you’re living that bean life like me and need something crunchy to snack on or maybe something easy to pack in your car or while you’re traveling, you NEED to try these Badabean Snacks. The crunchy roasted fava beans are my new favorite snack. They come in a ton of different flavors and are SO freaking good! And each serving has 7g of protein and 5g of fiber, two things I care most about these days. I took these with me to Cabo to eat on the plane and they were a total lifesaver. And I like to leave a bag in my car in case I need a quick snack when I’m out and about. Seriously love this snack so freaking much! I have tried the sea salt, ranch, and sriracha, but I definitely want to try the cocoa, too!
I hope you find some of these products and brands worthwhile, and it gives you some new things to try!! Feel free to share your own latest favorite brands in the comments below! I would love to hear what you’re digging these days!

Long time follower, first time commenter 👋 Recipe related question: I don’t really enjoy eating breakfast, but for some health reasons, I am trying to eat it.
I am looking for a breakfast bar that I can make ahead that packs as much fiber and nutrients as possible. Was wondering if you’d try to figure out a recipe that incorporates beans in an oatmeal bar of some sort. (I looked through your bean recipes and didn’t see anything too similar.) Thanks for considering!
oh man, i have no clue. i’m sure you could blend up chickpeas and mix that into the oat bars I have on my website, but i haven’t made the recipe that way so i can’t say for sure how it would turn out!
I love these posts. You share many products in your Instagram stories, but love seeing them and reading the blog too! Looking forward to more in 2021!
glad to hear you like these post, Elena!
The badabing snack is stupid good. I love those! I will have to try the hair ties. Thanks Juli!
the best!
Just curious how you add beans to your protein shake?
you pick a cooked bean, rinse it, and blend it in like a normal smoothie!
