I’m doing it. My very first giveaway. I’m so excited! I’ve never done one. But when the opportunity came up to spread the word about the Well Fed Cookbook by Melissa Joulwan of The Clothes Make the Girl, I couldn’t pass it up! If you haven’t seen her cookbook yet, which I’m guessing 96% of you have, you are missing out! Not only did Melissa self publish this book, but she did it incredibly well. The photography is magnificent, the recipes are different from what you’ll find in most paleo blogs, and her voice is wonderful. It’s an easy to read, easy to look at, and easy to love paleo cookbook, and there are definitely not enough of those out there…yet! The time and effort put into this cookbook shows and everyone should have it on their bookshelf OR sitting in the kitchen next to some bacon grease…like mine.

And one of the best things about this cookbook is that it is for all kinds of paleo eaters. If you are new to paleo and are looking to make something very simple, she has that. She talks about the importance of spices and easy ways to incorporate flavors into simple dishes. And if you are a paleo-pro, she has all kind of recipes and new ideas that will spark your interest. Ever heard of machacado? You have? Whatever. To me, it seems pretty fancy. But Melissa makes it so simple that a paleo-newb to a paleo-pro could enjoy every last bite of every recipe she has.

The Well Fed Cookbook brings the spirit of every culture into paleo cooking, and that is not something you find every day.

If there is one thing I love the most about this book, it’s that the author. Melissa is an incredibly good person. She is kind, caring, and incredibly thoughtful. When I emailed her asking a question about how she got started on the publishing train, she emailed me back within minutes. She cares for everyone and that’s a pretty amazing quality to have. I believe good things happen to good people and I hope that GREAT things happen to her.

But anyways, enough with the gushy stuff. Here is how to win the cookbook:

Honestly I read a dozen posts for the cookbook entry of people strapped for cash looking to get healthy, and I thought WOW how will Juli ever choose? So much love to you and good luck with that, myself I went to Mel’s blog saved it in my favorites and ordered the cookbook online, it’ll be here by the end of the week pretty close to instant gratification! Thank you for your blog and the introduction to theclothesmakethegirl I count you among my blessings 🙂

As a student, I’m always looking for new recipes that I can pack in my lunches! Also, as a student, I’m really really broke. 🙁 I love paleomg.com and if Juli says that her book is good… than it must be AWESOME. 🙂

I just started eating Paleo and doing CrossFit a few months ago. I’ve lost 21 pounds and 6% body fat. Thankfully, my husband has started following the program, which I am so relieved about because heart disease runs in his family. I need recipes to make him happy and keep him eating this way!

I’m a recent fan of yours and Mel. I have a similar thyroid issue to Mel, and not too long ago we found out my mom has Celiac (good chance I could too). My biggest hurdle is finding good recipes to incorporate that my whole family will love – my husband still doesn’t quite “buy in” to paleo or gluten free. This would be a nice step in the right direction for us!

Just joined my first box today and excited to commit to a new style of eating. Thanks so much 🙂

I am trying to start eating Paleo, So I decided to do the 21-Day sugar detox first. I really need a good cookbook to help me make this transition fun and definitely easier. Hmm. It is nice of you to give something away. I always feel a sad sinking when I realize that you have to have a facebook or twitter for something like this. Bleh, I gave up fb years ago because it was siphoning all my time into a surreal online world. Anyway, I would love to win said cookbook, despite the fact that I don’t have those communication outlets…and the fact that I am about the millionth comment. Ha, bet your bored of reading this already, sorry, ill let you move on to a qualified candidate. I always have your site for recipes and so far they have been thoroughly awesome, so thanks!

Eeeekkk.. OMG!! This cookbook is on my amazon wishlist. I’m a single mom to an 8 yr old boy, and we’re in the process of going Paleo. My son is willing to try most anything, but finding something he actually likes is a little more challenging. We do however keep mango honey mustard on hand from your superbowl blog.. he loves that! This book would definitely bring added creativity into my kitchen! I would also like to share these recipes with my parents who both suffer life threatening diseases, mostly due to what they put in their mouth. Thanks for this opportunity! Keep kickin ass and dancin in the kitchen! 🙂
