If you’ve been listening to the podcast in the past couple months, you’ve probably heard me talk about Ned. And since CBD has now become a common term in our daily lives, I thought it was the perfect time to really talk about hemp oil here on the blog. Because from what I’ve found from some of the feedback recently, most people don’t know much about it. Or they think that CBD will get you high. Well today I’m here to debunk those beliefs and hopefully give you a little insight into hemp oil, it’s uses, benefits, and why I use it AND why Jackson does, too!
So what exactly is hemp oil?
Hemp oil is an extract of hemp plants that consists of cannabidiol (CBD) and other phytocannabinoids. Ned Full Spectrum hemp oil collection is exclusively from hemp flowers, the most cannabinoid-rich component of the hemp plant.
What is hemp oil used for?
Cannabinoids have a wide range of benefits and regulate nearly every biological system in the human body. Some of the best known uses are:
- Sleep aid
- Anti-inflammatory
- Natural pain-reliever
- Treating anxiety and PTSD
- Treating depression
- Rich source of antioxidants
- Treatment of serious chronic conditions such as epilepsy, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, and more.
If you’ve been in any store lately, you’ve probably seen CBD labeling on tons of different products. But buyer beware – Due to FDA regulations, only pharmaceutical companies can use the term CBD, which is why Ned Full Spectrum products are called hemp oil, not CDB. Any companies using CBD in their packaging or marketing are in violation of the FDA and could be pulled off store shelves at any time. Is that really a product you can trust? Nah man. Sketchy.
Ned’s Full Spectrum Hemp Collection is different than many of the brands you’ll find out there. They extract their hemp oil from the finest organic hemp plants, all grown in Paonia, CO. Paonia is known for its perfect agricultural climate, rich soil, sunshine, and fresh Rocky Mountain water. I love Colorado brands!
Why Ned Full Spectrum Hemp Products are different –
- All Ned hemp products are made from organic, whole, and/or natural ingredients
- They only select non-GMO plant genetics, specifically grown for hemp extract
- Ned cold-extracts its hemp at -17° to maintain the profile of the hemp flower
- All Ned hemp products are small-batch and slow-crafted
- Ned hemp oil never uses isolates or synthetic ingredients
- An isolate is a lab isolated CBD compound, existing in a white powder form, stripped of all the other phytocannabinoids that complement cannabidiol. Without these other cannabinoids, there is no “entourage effect,” which is now thought to be behind the true healing powers of hemp.
- All you’ll find in Ned hemp oil products are CBD and other phytocannabinoids from the hemp plant plus Non-GMO MCT oil.
Now let’s talk through some FAQs that I always hear –
- Do Ned Full Spectrum Hemp Oil Products get you high?
- No. Full spectrum hemp is a major non-psychotropic, which means it will not get you high.
- There is a miniscule amount of THC in hemp, less than 0.3% as allowed by law.
- Will Ned Full Spectrum Hemp Oil show up on a drug test?
- Yes, it is possible since there are trace amounts of THC in the products
- What products does Ned Hemp Oil offer?
- Hemp Oil (300mg, 750mg, and 1500mg)
- Hemp Infused Body Butter
- Hemp Infused Lip Balm
- How do you know which hemp oil is right for you?
- If you’re new to cannabinoids, Ned recommends starting slow and low so you can get comfortable making hemp oil a part of your daily regimen for overall wellness. Start at 300mg and work your way up. If you’re addressing specific needs, Ned suggests the 750mg or 1500mg, which is more cost effective, as well.
- Is Ned Full Spectrum Hemp Oil Products lab tested?
- How does Ned Full Spectrum Hemp Oil Products give back?
- Yes! Ned is a proud member of 1% for the Planet
FAQs are cool, but let’s talk about real life and how I use it! I tried Ned Full Spectrum Hemp Oil back in September while I was in Lake Tahoe. I had a crappy night of travel after staying in a smoke-filled hotel in Reno. My friend Joy from Girls Gone Wod Podcast told me about it so I used it that night and slept like a BABY. It was magical. I don’t normally have an issue with sleep, but if I’m going through a stressful time or if I just can’t turn my brain off, I use Ned’s Full Spectrum Hemp Oil and I fall asleep in no time flat! I’ve used all three hemp oils, but I personally prefer the 300mg. I normally use a full dropper dose (1.0 mL), I put it under my tongue for about 1 minute, swish it around then swallow. I use it about an hour before I go to bed. That’s it!
I use it for sleep, but my husband used it for anxiety while he was still at his old job. And we also give it to our lil’ pup! After he had his health scare with lepto back in December, he had some sleeping issues. He would wake up around 2 in the morning every night and whine because he just wanted us to go to the couch and snuggle with him. Ned recommends 1mg for every 10lbs of your pet’s weight and you can dose up or down depending on how it seems to be working. We add around 4mg to his food at night and he sleeps all through the night because of it!
I can’t recommend Ned enough. They have the best products on the market that you can feel good about using! Hey Juli!
So I got a full spectrum Hemp oil cream to use for my RA. from a pharmaceutical company. But it does not say how much is in it. I’m wondering if only the oil will say how much is in it?? But the thing is, is it didn’t really help very much. I would say it took the “edge” off, but didn’t fully relieve my pain like some others claim it does for them. Do you think maybe the lotions out there, like the one from Ned (body butter), might have less in it than the oils? I’m not even sure if you can answer that since I’m using something other than Ned, but thought id see what you’ve experienced or heard about the differences between oil and cream?
yes, the oils do say how much is in the bottle as well as the dropper. and i would definitely contact ned with your second question! they will definitely have an answer for you!!
Thanks, Juli!
Hi Brittney! I just wandered into this site and saw your question so I thought I’d give it a shot. I’ve been on cbd oil for 6 months or longer. So I’m familiar with the what, how, whys and do’s. RA is a painful condition from what I hear. Your cream should have the mgs written on it but that’s not your biggest issue right now. Personally most cremes didnt do it for me either. So I make my own. I use 1200mg cbd oil. I have some thick lotion that I squirt In my hand. Then I put several drops of oil on top of it. Then I go straight to the affected area pretty fast and rub it in real good. I am getting more milligram creme by doing it myself. And yes it works! I have fibromyalgia and numerous injuries from a car accident. I have a painful area on my lower back that runs down my hip, knee and into my foot. And its swollen. I rub my rub on the affected areas and within 15 mins I’m free of pain and the swelling goes down. I have to put it on no more than twice a day. I hope that helps! You can find me on facebook if you need help. Sondra G Hutto
Oh my goodness, all of what you said is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you so very much for sharing what you know and what you have experienced! Helps a ton. Im sorry you have to deal with Fibromyalgia. I have heard how painful that is as well. I will definitely be getting the oil and doing exactly as you said!
This sounds more like a product endorsement than a fact based.I know CBD works but there are many brands even if there labeled that are just as good and can be trusted. We all know the government is in the way based on big pharmaceutical companies. Try to inform with suggestions about other brands there are many companies and the more people understand and use the products the sooner the government will do what’s right
i don’t personally use any other brands so i can’t speak to any other ones. this is a product endorsement of a brand that i consistently use day after day, and have for almost 10 months. i used it before they sponsored this post. i’m sharing a brand that i love and you can make your own decisions from there! hopefully this information gives you some tools to make your own decisions when purchasing hemp oil!
Hi Juli,
Could you share how your husband used hemp oil for anxiety? Did he take it at night or during the day? Did he use it only when he felt anxious or on a regular basis?
My husband has anxiety but he doesn’t want to go to a doctor for it in fear that they will just give him a pill. I am thinking that maybe this could be a helpful aid for us while he figures out what causes the anxiety. Thank you in advanced!
PS. First time commenting, but I really enjoy your blog and reference it regularly!
CHEERS!
he would take it at night! but i know other people would take it whenever they had anxiety so he should just play around with it!
Thank you, Juli for posting this. My mom has dementia so I want to try it for her. It makes me feel better that someone I “know” can vouch for this brand. Is there a code for the 15% off?
nope. if you click the link i gave, it adds it straight to your cart!
i’ve been having trouble staying asleep lately and it’s killing my normal routine. melatonin isn’t doing much to help keep me asleep, so this might be worth a shot! ordered the 300mg to try! fingers crossed that i get some damn sleep!
Hi Juli,,,,,I have been using CBD oil for quite awhile. At first I used a brand that my hubby found online and it did work. But then I have a friend that is making her own. She said it is free of any extra junk that other brands may have in it,,,,and it is completely clear in color. When I see yours, it does have a color to it,,,,do you know what the color is from? Thank you for sharing this info 🙂
there is no color in it. they use MCT oil along with the hemp oil. the more concentrated the hemp oil, the darker the color.
Me again,,,,,I also would like to know what you personally use the cream for. You may have mentioned in your article. I did skim through it, so maybe I need to go back and read it again. Does it have a flavor and does it have a real oily consistency. I have had so much luck with my CBD oil, but I am always up for trying something that may be better. My hubby has RA,,,,so that is why I asked about the cream,,,,wondering if it could possibly help him when he has flare ups. Thanks
i personally use it for sore muscles!!
Juli, I took advantage of your code and I am IN LOVE with hemp oil now! I use it for anxiety. Now I can make it through the work day without my blood pressure being sky-fucking-high because of stress. I’m better able to handle the difficulties thrown my way on a daily basis and I just don’t feel stressed when things go wrong. I am now a full believer in Ned hemp oil and will continue to use it!
that’s absolutely amazing!! so glad you’re loving Ned!
Just ordered the hemp oil!!! Cannot wait.
Stacey
hope you like it Stacey!
