Baby registries are SO OVERWHELMING. We are having a baby for the first time…and we’re supposed to know what she needs?! Hell if I know! Luckily I found some of the most helpful items through Live Wild Be Well Non-Toxic Baby Registry along with items through friends I follow on instagram. They would link a product they loved in stories and I would save it to add to our registry later. Do I have everything I need on there? Probably not. But that’s why having Amazon at our finger tips these days is a true lifesaver. We’ll figure out the rest along the way!

Hopefully this list helps you build your own baby registry! And if you think I’m missing any MUST HAVE items, please leave a comment in the comment section below!

Must have for teeny baby nail care: electric nail file. Haaka makes a great one as does Little Martin’s Drawer. Makes it so easy to file their nails without any fear of nicking their skin!

Yes to the electric nail file! My daughter is 15months old and we still use it!

I will also give a third yes to the electric nail file, best invention ever!

Where did you get the white lamp? The whole nursery is beautiful!

Haakaa silicone pump/ collector. I loved the snoo, even took it on road trips and camping trips. Guava lotus is an awesome pack n play. Now that our kid is over 1 we love traveling with the kidco pod, so small and easy to travel with.

How do you take a snoo on a camping trip?

The My Brest Friend nursing pillow is 1000% the best nursing pillow IMO. Also, grab a couple Haakaa breast pumps to use on the side you’re not actively nursing on – they can collect so much!

First off, YAY! So exciting 💕
From one first time mama to another, definitely put a GOOD/easy to transport pack n play on your list, game changer for travel. The Haaka milk collector is also the holy grail of breastfeeding, so easy to use and you can get a lot of ounces out of it without ‘pumping.’
The mockingbird stroller is amazing, and very comparable to the Vista (without having to spend the extra $1000) I learned that lesson haha.
If you’re planning on using bottles (even just now and then) get an on the go bottle warmer, Baby’s Brew is amazing and is SO EASY to use out and about.
There’s so much more but those are my favs as I’ve learned along the way the past 10 months 😍 I have a little girl and I gotta say, it’s so fun. You’re going to be a wonderful mom.

Also…if you’re not following Karrie Locher on Instagram for literally all things mom and baby, go now! She has saved me so many times, literally the holy grail of information.

100% on Karrie Locher – I send everyone I know to her. Resilient Rascals is another good great insta resource for “what to do when baby has a fever, hives, croup” etc. so you’re not scrambling at midnight.

If you have trouble with latch, advocate for you and your baby and have her seen by a tongue tie specialist. Hospital staff can be quite dismissive of your concerns – don’t let them, go right to the specialist.

The other thing that you will feel as you welcome your baby girl into the world, is a support network of moms that will blow. your. mind. They forever and always be there for you because they GET it. It’s been the most amazing journey I’ve ever been on and a “club” I’ll never feel more grateful to have joined.

Baby Paleomg is going to rock your world, humble you, and be your absolute everything. Very excited for you and Brian. You are going to be a wonderful mom, Juli.

Love this list! I know you choose your own insurance, but you should be able to get a prescription for a breast pump. You can end up getting a pump and supplies for free, or at least a pretty reduced cost.

The baby buddha is hands down the best breast pump! My IBCLS (Kelly Euperio from BV lactation @kellyibclc) recommended it and it is amazing! I am a busy clinician and can pump in between appts. It gets me in 5 min what the spectra got me in 20. I have referred it to a few friends and they all agree (so it isn’t just me!). @pump_momma_pump on insta and @bemybreastfriend have discount codes and they have a ton of free info on all things breastfeeding and pumping! (don’t forget the Earth’s Mama nipple cream too….life saver!)

Sleep sacks, Halo sleep swaddle for newborns, and Camilla teething drops were lifesavers for us! Congrats to you guys!! It’s the best adventure ever❤️

    Hi Juli!
First, I want to say how much I love you! My baby is six months old and some of the items you have on your registry I have and LOVE! We have the Parker baby diaper bag and caddy. The caddy sits in our living room and is so convenient for all things diaper, skin and boogie related! The diaper bag has a perfect amount of pockets without being too overwhelming or loss of space. I have both the spectra S1 and the Elvie (I’m a nurse and don’t have time to leave and pump most days). The convenience of not being plugged in with both is worth every penny! I would suggest getting a Haakaa for midnight feedings. It makes night feedings so much easier because you can empty your other breast while feeding and not have to bring out a pump in the middle of the night. I have heard from many feeding professionals that the Tripp Trapp chair is very difficult to clean the straps and to get baby in and out of, so I personally am going towards the Stokke Steps chair for that reason! One baby item that I have not been able to live without is the NozeBot! Having a daycare baby, the snot is constant and sometimes the NoseFrida just wasn’t enough. It’s a small battery operated suction machine created by a pediatric ENT that provides strong enough suction to get the secretions out without any trauma to the nasal passage. It’s been a lifesaver during colds! I am so excited to watch your journey in becoming a mom! It’s the most wonderful experience in the world. I hope these tips help as they’ve made my mom life much easier!

  8. Chelsea Wood says:

Changing pad liners! So you don’t have to wash the changing pad cover every time they pee or poop when you’re changing their diaper. Which happens all the time in the beginning.

Love this!! For a first time mom you did a GREAT job. Had my fist last year and now I know my registry sucked lol I would add some burp cloths (it’s never too much) and @takingcarababies newborn course. You can find it on her Instagram. It was a life savior for us. I know how much you like to study and lear new things and their technique to give a baby a sleep foundation is amazing. Highly recommend it!
