I’ve decided to start doing some Fashion Fridays here on the blog. Why? Because I want to. Does it have to do with food? Kind of. I mean, I go to restaurants, weddings, and BBQs in these outfits, where I eat. So it has to do with food in my own mind. AND these fashion photos have become more popular on my instagram (second to Jackson, obviously) than my food pictures so I decided I wanted to share where I’ve found all of my outfits since I’m a budget shopper when it comes to most outfits! Let’s do this!

Date night:

A couple night later, I headed to a wedding that was conveniently only 2 blocks from my house. I wish every wedding was like that. Except for the ones in Mexico. I’m fine with going to Mexico. Oh, and it had cupcakes and street tacos. Best wedding I’ve been to in quite some time!

Backyard BBQ for this outfit. I made ice cream sandwiches for this BBQ. It was wonderful. Especially because we ate ice cream sandwiches in front of the fire pit. I want a fire pit.

Family came into town on Monday so I threw an easy outfit together before I headed to eat some Chilean Sea Bass. I wish I could eat that every day. Mostly the sea bass I had at Tao in Las Vegas.

Had an unexpected dinner the next night that was business related. So I threw together a “kind of” business outfit. We ate at Earl’s. Have you ever eaten there? I’ve never been into it because I think it feels like a fancy Hooters, but daaaaaamn my food was pretty good!

  • Brown wedges from Steve Madden (on sale for $63.00)
  • Another pair of kinny jeans: Flying Monkey Jeans that I found at Inspyre Boutique for $50 (I have 3 pairs since I love them so much)
  • Black flowy tank: Pink’s Boutique for $25.00
  • Pink blazer: I found this at Plato’s Closet that is a second hand store, but it’s from Forever 21
  • Necklace from World Market (it’s hard to see in this lighting but the top bead is a light turquoise – the link is to a similar necklace since I couldn’t find the exact one) for $17.00

Had a day of errands AND it was a rest day from the gym. So I really had no reason to even put on workout clothes and not do my hair.

Now share your favorite places to shop and favorite new outfits that you’ve found, in the comments below!

Oh, Hi! I’m Juli.

I’m a food hoarder. And a really bad dancer. If you don’t know me well, you will probably not understand my humor. Therefore, I apologize ahead of time. Thanks for listening to my ramblings of my ever-changing life and trusting my kitchen mishaps. Your trust in me is appreciated.

  1. I love this that you’re doing Fashion Fridays, Juli! I actually blog about personal style/fashion – but want to do more posts of paleo and 21DSD food. Maybe I’ll start doing Food Fridays! 🙂

You look amazing and I love your jorts and heeled sandals so much!

    XO Alison

  2. Juli, thank you so much for sharing your outfits! I get really discouraged as a crossfitter when I go shopping because it’s so hard to find clothes that fit. You are inspiring me to keep searching, and to take them to a tailor, if necessary 🙂

  3. your body is smokin!!! I LOVE that you’re throwing in your fashion finds…every girl loves a good deal and flattering clothes 🙂

  4. This is the PERFECT addition. I’m in love! I have ZERO fashion sense, so I appreciate all the links and your accessorizing. Amaze. Now I just need to convince these boutiques to ship to Canada!

  5. You have such a great style! I especially love the o’Neil dress with the belt.

My baby bump is finally present, so I’m stuck in mostly maternity clothes until next year. Not a bad problem to have, but my maternity wardrobe is a bit sparse yet. I’d better invest in some killer accessories and do a little shopping this weekend!

  6. That dress looks better on you than on the website model!!! What kind of bra did you wear with the open back? I have never had success with the stick ons but maybe I haven’t tried the right kind.

P.S. I think this is a great idea because you are smokin’ in all of these outfits so it’s really just motivation to the rest of us to work out hard 🙂 Also because I can just order all of this crap and pretend like I’m trendy and found it on my own!

  7. LOVE this! I am a currently a stay at home mom/CrossFit coach in training after years of office working….so my daily outfits now consist of workout clothes. Happy to get some ideas from you-your outfits are great!

  8. Love love love all your outifts! Love that you are doing this!!! I recently moved to denver area and now have written down all the places you shop 🙂 I’ll def mention you when I go!! Thanks again for all u do!!

  9. I saw that someone asked about the bra you wear with the open back dress. Do you wear the same sticky bra with the spaghetti strap shirts? What brand do you buy?

  10. Cute clothes! Very cool idea to add this section.

What I am really hoping you can share though – is what do I need to do to get my legs to look as sculpted as yours?! I am an endurance athlete but am planning to start decreasing the aerobic stuff and ramping up time in the weight room, so… Any suggestions for exercises, # reps, how often etc? 🙂

  11. I love this addition to the blog! Us crossfit girls have special fashion needs and you have great ideas! Took 2 pairs of shorts in to get altered this week. Thank you!

  12. Scrolling through your pictures…

wife: What are you looking at?
    me: Umm…recipes?
    wife: You sure about that?

  13. You just proved how sexy toned arms look. Feel so much better about showing off my guns in a summer dress tomorrow! Thanks…

  14. Your legs look SO AMAZING in shorts! Hard work always pays off.
I also love that you tell all the people that have a problem how you feel, I laugh out loud reading what you write. Thats what keeps me coming back to your blog and recipes, how real you are. Thank you.

  15. Omg! I was always thinking about how I just love love love all your outfits in your book tour pictures! You have such good taste and look amazing! And I LOVE that you crossfit too. It doesn’t seem like any other paleo bloggers crossfit much. Your blog is my favorite!

  16. This is a neat addition, I am terrible at picking out outfits. Unless it’s jeans and a shirt or a dress, dresses are nice because the whole outfit is done in 1 item of clothes.
The back of that orange dress was really neat, I also think it looks better on you than on the model.
I just found a new website called Thread Up, its like an online thrift store.

  17. They’re all great, but I especially loved the grey shirt with the leather jacket and that lipstick (gloss?) that you wore to the wedding. What was on your lips please? 😛

  18. Lindsey Shanks

Juli…Your style is amazing, and i actually went out and got to of the skirts you had on. Super amazing that you have fashion fridays 🙂

  19. I am jealous of your pics. These are seriously killer outfits. You are looking beautiful especially in Flying Monkey Jeans, Brown Wedges and top.
