That’s my excited face.

Oh sh*t. I can’t even hold it in. Word vomit is about to happen. I’M WRITING MY FIRST COOKBOOK!!

I’m literally tearing up just thinking about this. I’ve wanted this for so long and have gone back and forth about how I would accomplish this goal. But once I was approached by Scribe Publishing, I knew it was the right fit. Not only is the Publisher a CrossFitter as well, but she’s a paleo-er who gets my sense of humor and isn’t afraid of what I have to say. She’s so awesome.

I hadn’t thought about a writing a cookbook since my recipes are free over the internet, until readers began to ask for one. Which was very cool. It’s amazing people would actually want to purchase something when they can get it all free online. So really, I’m writing this cookbook for all of you who have supported me and wanted to show that support by purchasing a cookbook. So this cookbook will feature my favorite PaleOMG recipes along with many new recipes you won’t be able to find on the blog. Already have some good stuff for you!!

So what I want to know is, what are YOU looking for in a paleo cookbook? What is helpful to you and what would make your life easier in a paleo cookbook? Please leave your comments below and give your ideas because I’m making this cookbook for YOU all!

ANNNNNNND, omg, yes there is more. I’m now in the first steps of creating a PaleOMG app. Let’s be real here, obviously I am not the person doing it, I know nothing about anything…except sweets, but my good friend Peter who also put my website together for me, is doing the job. He’s amazing and spectacular so I’m trusting him to create something wonderful. BUT I want and need to know what you are looking for in a paleo app. I don’t do apps, I don’t really get them. I downloaded a food porn app once, but I’ve only looked at it once when I was too hungover to get out of bed. True story. So I need to know what people who actually use apps would like to see in a PaleOMG app?

Are you mad because there isn’t a recipe? Don’t you worry, there will be plenty all week!

CONGRATS Juli!!! I’m so excited for your cookbook! Every recipe I’ve tried of yours has been great.

I like the idea of the cook-off, I have a brownie recipe that’s awesome.

I agree with a picture for every dish

I like the spiral bound idea, but can it still be hardbound? I like the durability

Oh, and I like your response to the woman who complained that she’ll have to pay for your recipes….parasite

OMG! Can I pre-order yet?! While I appreciate dinner ideas, what I really struggle to find are go-to breakfasts that don’t require much of me the day of…and snacks. Not sure where you and your publisher stand on how edgy you want this to be, but I have a little guy and I would like to be able to leave the book out and feel okay about his reading it. 😉

Love this news, I am so addicted to your blog since I found you! Can’t wait for cookbook and app!!! I would love to see foods that you keep on hand ~ like ‘always in my Pantry/fridge’ section. Conversion chart~ like your caramel sauce… Amazing! Huge fan who would of thought before Paleo I could get ‘that’ from dates ! For Me.. I will gift and gift and gift your book, ( of course one for me too) I never mind the amount of ingredients, that is part of the art of cooking, and why YOUR recipes are amazing and not bland and boring.

Really excited about your cookbook! I’ve been following the site for a while. I would say simplicity and idiot-proof-ness are what I really look for in a cookbook. A lot of times folks want to include some obscure ingredient like oil from a bean that only grows atop a particular mountain in Nepal in the late spring … that doesn’t work for me. How about what I have in my cabinet … not what I need a Sherpa to acquire. And the app would be great if it let you plug in the ingredients you have (or search for them – like on your site) and suggest recipes from there. Also if there’s any way to tie in an easy fast food paleo suggestion(s) – as much as that’s possible – that’d be great too.

F’ing right they want you to write a cookbook! I’m surprised it’s taken THIS long! Write it just how you have been doing your blog and you will sell out. Fantastic. Congrats. Etc. 🙂

Congratulations! I am so excited for you! Your recipes have totally changed my Paleo life and make everything better!

Please PLEASE please continue to include random rantings and stories and vulgar language in your cookbook – Your tangents make me laugh out loud and keep me coming back for more daily 🙂
