That’s my excited face.
Oh sh*t. I can’t even hold it in. Word vomit is about to happen. I’M WRITING MY FIRST COOKBOOK!!
I’m literally tearing up just thinking about this. I’ve wanted this for so long and have gone back and forth about how I would accomplish this goal. But once I was approached by Scribe Publishing, I knew it was the right fit. Not only is the Publisher a CrossFitter as well, but she’s a paleo-er who gets my sense of humor and isn’t afraid of what I have to say. She’s so awesome.
I hadn’t thought about a writing a cookbook since my recipes are free over the internet, until readers began to ask for one. Which was very cool. It’s amazing people would actually want to purchase something when they can get it all free online. So really, I’m writing this cookbook for all of you who have supported me and wanted to show that support by purchasing a cookbook. So this cookbook will feature my favorite PaleOMG recipes along with many new recipes you won’t be able to find on the blog. Already have some good stuff for you!!
So what I want to know is, what are YOU looking for in a paleo cookbook? What is helpful to you and what would make your life easier in a paleo cookbook? Please leave your comments below and give your ideas because I’m making this cookbook for YOU all!
ANNNNNNND, omg, yes there is more. I’m now in the first steps of creating a PaleOMG app. Let’s be real here, obviously I am not the person doing it, I know nothing about anything…except sweets, but my good friend Peter who also put my website together for me, is doing the job. He’s amazing and spectacular so I’m trusting him to create something wonderful. BUT I want and need to know what you are looking for in a paleo app. I don’t do apps, I don’t really get them. I downloaded a food porn app once, but I’ve only looked at it once when I was too hungover to get out of bed. True story. So I need to know what people who actually use apps would like to see in a PaleOMG app?
Are you mad because there isn’t a recipe? Don’t you worry, there will be plenty all week!

Just please don’t write a cookbook without beautiful pictures and be sure to keep your fabulous hilarious comments and sense of humore. I think for Paleo a cookbook doesn’t have to be divided breakfast, lunch, dinner but maybe by the protein type or quick and easy or crockpot?
I am super excited!!!
This is very exciting news! I have just recently started the paleo lifestyle and I have to say I love your recipes! I would love to see the nutritional information included with the recipes.
Congrats! I love your recipes and your personality! You make this all sound fun!
Slow cooker meals are great…especially in the winter! 🙂
It would be great to get some ideas for “single” cooking…when cooking, it seems like I’m always making a ton of food, and while leftovers are great, sometimes it’s nice to have smaller quantities…
Good luck!!!
JULI!!!!!! CONGRATS!!!!! HOW EXCITED ARE YOU?!?!? Didja pee your pants yet? LOL!
I would LOVE to see nut/egg free desserts/cakes/cupcakes/whatev. Just found out I am hideously allergic to eggs, and almonds are borderline.
Please keep your sense of humour throughout the book. I forget: did you buy a nice camera yet???!
Again, CONGRATS!!!! So happy for you!
I didn’t read the 347 comments. Sorry for any repeats.
Cookbooks should give me stuff I can’t do on my own – I can make a salad. I can’t come up with a totally delicious recipe for crepes or enchiladas or brownies. Those are hard. See? That’s what I like in a cookbook.
App? Something that’s a “one-touch” recipe book. I could type enchilada and then the app would pull up your delicious-looking enchiladas in a recipe-card format. Ding! Your silliness should be included somehow – maybe a separate screen or the intro screen or something. OR it could just be a really handle mobile version of the site. So I can see the pics and easily read the entries. Or both?
Oh yeah. Brekkie ideas that don’t involve eggs for my aforementioned reasons to boot. Yes, that would be totally rad. Like, totally.
I was just introduced to your blog this week and I’m in LOVE with your recipes! I would gladly pay for them in any form!
Congrats! You do a great job of being creative with flavors yet the recipes are quick and easy to make. When friends ask me about paleo recipes I always point them to your website. I am REALLY looking forward to buying your cookbook!
WOOOO HOOOOO! Congratulations on your cookbook. It looks like your fans have written the book already in responding to this post.
What I would like to see is pictures of each dish.
How about 4 weeks of meals and weekly shopping lists
Didn’t read all of the comments to see if someone already said this bc holy balls that’s a lot of comments… but definitely would love to see quick/easy/portable/snack options. Emphasis on portable. I’m pretty new to paleo and the convenience factor is JUST. SO. HARD. I love the way I feel but not the having to be a pack mule between schlepping myself to gym/work/school everyday before home again. Totally blows. And I always hit people on the bus with my mary poppins sacks and I feel bad.
