Oh sh*t. I can’t even hold it in. Word vomit is about to happen. I’M WRITING MY FIRST COOKBOOK!!
I’m literally tearing up just thinking about this. I’ve wanted this for so long and have gone back and forth about how I would accomplish this goal. But once I was approached by Scribe Publishing, I knew it was the right fit. Not only is the Publisher a CrossFitter as well, but she’s a paleo-er who gets my sense of humor and isn’t afraid of what I have to say. She’s so awesome.
I hadn’t thought about a writing a cookbook since my recipes are free over the internet, until readers began to ask for one. Which was very cool. It’s amazing people would actually want to purchase something when they can get it all free online. So really, I’m writing this cookbook for all of you who have supported me and wanted to show that support by purchasing a cookbook. So this cookbook will feature my favorite PaleOMG recipes along with many new recipes you won’t be able to find on the blog. Already have some good stuff for you!!
So what I want to know is, what are YOU looking for in a paleo cookbook? What is helpful to you and what would make your life easier in a paleo cookbook? Please leave your comments below and give your ideas because I’m making this cookbook for YOU all!
ANNNNNNND, omg, yes there is more. I’m now in the first steps of creating a PaleOMG app. Let’s be real here, obviously I am not the person doing it, I know nothing about anything…except sweets, but my good friend Peter who also put my website together for me, is doing the job. He’s amazing and spectacular so I’m trusting him to create something wonderful. BUT I want and need to know what you are looking for in a paleo app. I don’t do apps, I don’t really get them. I downloaded a food porn app once, but I’ve only looked at it once when I was too hungover to get out of bed. True story. So I need to know what people who actually use apps would like to see in a PaleOMG app?
Are you mad because there isn’t a recipe? Don’t you worry, there will be plenty all week!







While I am very happy for you, it kind of sucks that we’ll have to buy the cookbook to get new recipes.

Congratulations! I’m semi-new to the paleo thing and am always looking for quick recipes for to-go breakfasts. Smoothies, etc. for the early workout mornings since I hate cold eggs! I agree with the pictures for every dish comment, and more specifics about amounts (pounds or cups instead of “1 package”, which could be anything!)

Yaaaaay! Sooooo freakin awesome!! Congrats!! I share your love of sweets and get super excited when something paleo actually tastes good when I’m done with it:) I love to cook and bake but doing it paleo has been challenging for me because before paleo I could just throw a bunch of sh$*t together and it would taste good…..now I have to follow recipes because I just don’t have it down yet! You are the only site out there worth revisiting-you keep it simple and real and the food is good, not to mention free entertainment. It’s so good to know I’m not the only crossfitter who can’t find a good man!! What’s up with all the lame men?
Oh yes…so back to your cook book-I would love to see more “snacky” kinds of foods, something I could make for the week and munch on at my desk every day.

I would totally buy your cookbook…..but only if it has pics of EVERY recipe. PLEASE! If I skim a cookbook and there are no or few pics, I’m completely uninterested. I like to see what my dish should look like. I also like to see if it would even appeal to me before I even attempt it. That’s why I love your blog so much- the pics are awesome! And please hurry up with it!

Would love to see some sort of “on the go” breakfast item. Like a bar of some sort. I have no time for things like pancake or eggs, so this would be great.
Wow I’m beyond excited for this! The day you posted it my friend and I were at the gym talking about paleo and we both were like “Omg did you see what PaleOMG posted today?!” Both hoping to be the first with the exciting news, but I guess we’re both so obsessed with your website it wasn’t overlooked. Anyway, on to my point, we were thinking about what we’d love from your book (and I’m sure whatever you put in it will be fabulous!) but we wondered if you might be able to put the zone block portions with the recipes? That might be crazy hard, but we both follow a paleo zone diet and would just LOVE having that as a resource. Or maybe the basic nutritional details so we could calculate them on our own? Anyway just a thought! Thanks for be awesome, can’t wait for the book! x

Personally I have a huge struggle, I would love to see more side dishes, veggies specifically. My kids (there are 4) are so far (they’re young) not very picky, there are so few paleo sites that have a lot of sides (that I’ve seen).

The first time I visited your website I thought “I wish she had a recipe book” so Yay now I’m going to use my new found powers to wish for Brad to dump Angelina.Watch this space.
In the meantime I’ll settle for a recipe book that caters for the UK market and includes either ounces or grams in the quantity listings rather than just American cups. Sounds basic but honestly it would make a huge difference, we simply don’t measure in cups so none of our scales or jugs include it. It makes the process harder as we have to manually work out each amount every time (except the clever maths people) & to be honest it’s a faff. If you can do that, I’ll see if Brad can put in a call to George Clooney for you….
