You guys. Dandelions have TAKEN OVER OUR YARD. We mowed on Sunday and they are already a foot above the grass. One day, I was feeling pumped up and began pulling a crap ton. Those roots are insanity. And they almost gross me out. It’s like pulling a dozen thick worms. And then there are spiders and other creatures everywhere. And the roots just break most of the time as you pull them. So it’s not even satisfying. And that means they are going to grow back. It’s so frustrating. And all these people on my instagram told me I need to leave the dandelions because the bees need them. Which I 100% get. But we have neighbors who have the most beautiful lawn on earth and I’m pretty sure they were hoping for neighbors who would actually care for their lawn, unlike they’ve had in the past. I don’t mind having a couple dandelions, but that just isn’t possible. When there is one, there is about to be one thousand. That’s just a simple fact. What the hell to do?
Moving on. After living with carpet for the past year and now having only wood floors…omg. It grosses me out. I might as well keep sweeping and mopping every single moment of every single day. I can’t imagine what our carpet looked like deep inside. And how do people with dogs that shed A LOT keep up with that sh*t? Jackson sheds a good amount, but they are small hairs so you can’t see them as easily. And the hair still drives me absolutely nuts. But for real, the floors are always dirty. Have any of you bought a Rumba? I think that needs to go high on our priority list. Probably after furniture since we don’t have that yet.
I just found the best self tanner ever. EVER! My calluses may be brown, but whatever, at least my skin is a little darker without tanning beds!
My eye will not stop twitching. Two days now, two freaking days.
Wait, back to the house stuff. Stop getting distracted. I’m so excited because since we’ve ordered furniture, placed an order with a friend to make our dining table, got a new mattress and started working on the bedroom, I’ll soon have some house furnishing posts for you! Spicing it up a little bit. There will still be lots of food, fashion fridays and workouts, but now there will be a little home decor ideas as well! I recently started posting pictures of my vanity area in my bedroom, but that still needs a couple touches. So I think I’m going to talk about my mattress I got recently. Because it’s amazing. Have you ever heard of intellibed? It’s a non toxic, gel material bed that has amazing back support and helps regulate blood flow. When I started doing research about beds when we moved into our new house, the stats about this bed and all the amazing feedback won we over. I seriously had no idea how toxic a mattress can be. Frightening.
But get this, I’ll even have a discount for you guys. Yessir. I’m working with this company to save you money and get you sleeping a healthy, deep sleep. Sofreakingpumped. But until then, drink this. Because it’s delicious. And inspired by Ginger Newtrition adrenal cocktail which uses cold pressed orange juice, collagen, and salt to make the most delicious drink. This time I just spiced it up a little bit! Thanks for the inspiration, you amazing health coach you!

We have hardwood floors in the entire house. We have two roombas (one for each level) and we LOVE them! Our floors always look great, plus there’s so much less dust on the furniture and around the house. Get one, now, you won’t regret it!
We also have a Brava for sweeping/washing bathroom floors and entry areas, which I use pretty often. Aaaand, there’s a robomower living in our backyard, which keeps the lawn in check: No work in the garden AND our lawn looks great all the time. We have an overachieving neighbour with perfect lawn as well and our lawn looks almost as nice as his, even though we don’t care the least about our lawn. Of course, by close inspection you’ll notice that we have lots of dandelions, clover etc. in the grass. But you can’t see it, because busy little robomow keeps it nice and trimmed. Yay for robots in the house!
damn, that’s a lot of robots! i dig it!
Ummm just wait if you ever have a kid you will be even more grossed out by the floors. I mean, my kid crawls on the floor then sticks his hairy hand in his mouth all day. Oh well, he’s still alive so score for me!
Get a roomba!!! It changed my life! It’s the best, you will love it!! I agonized over getting one for years and I wish I would have bought one sooner!
YES! I have a Roomba and it is the best. Seriously worth it. It’s like having company when you’re home alone haha. Sad. But true. Though you have Jackson for that… I don’t have a dog 🙂
Watch out adrenal cocktail there is a new Sheriff in town!!! I can’t wait to try this…
What is the name of the self-tanner, please??? WE NEED TO KNOW

It is a little weird, but having a cleaning service come in even once or twice a month is ~* heavenly *~ and probably more affordable than you’d think. I know it’s weird having a stranger all up in your stuff, but if you find someone you trust it’s really not bad.
I love my iRoomba 880. it is AWESOME.
Juli – do you have a recipe to make coconut cream? I thought I remember seeing it on the blog but can’t find it in the search. Thanks!
coconut cream is just the cream that rises to the top of canned coconut milk
I have to have a dissenting robot vacuum opinion. We have all hard floors, a Frenchie, and a Roomba. I will say it keeps the floor cleaner than without it, but it misses a lot. It also gets stuck under furniture and so tangled (I have long dark hair like you which it hates) that I have to take it apart to clean it, so it doesn’t seem like it’s saving me much time. It ruined my daughter’s bedskirt when it got tangled in it. This morning I found the damned thing dragging a towel I’d put at the door for my Frenchie to step on because it’s muddy outside, so it dragged mud all over the house instead of sucking it up. Just my opinion, I’d rather spend $$ on house pretties and spend a few minutes in the afternoon dust-mopping! Lots of people love them though!
