What…in the f*ck…is Kanye talking about on Ellen? Did you guys see all that? What the hell is going on? Does HE even know what’s going on? He talks all about how he wants to change the world but he can’t make a full paragraph make any sense. It was like he just kept pulling words out of his bum hole and threw them up, but none of those words were organized in any sort of order. But he’s an “artist” so it somehow makes sense. But it doesn’t. Kind of like these last few sentences.

The only thing that really stuck out to me from all the millions of words he said was when he talked about calling the head of Payless because he wants kids to stop being bullied. THEN DON’T CHARGE $800 FOR YOUR SHOES, KANYE. Ya big d*ck.

Ok, I’m sorry Kanye. Calling people names is mean. I apologize. You’re just the worst.

You know what else is the worst? Changing your name. Well, I wouldn’t know. I haven’t started the process yet. But 9 out of 10 people have told me changing their name was absolutely awful. Even my mom was married before and ended up not changing her name to my dad’s last name since she had changed it and changed it back again. So people always just think my parents are divorced since they have different last names. Nope, just lazy. Just kidding, she’s not lazy. You’re great, mom!

My friend just sent me a website that helps with the whole process and she said it made it so much easier. So I need to actually click on that link and just do it. I’ve decided to remove my middle name, put  my last name as my middle name and take my husband’s last name. I love my last name, I can’t imagine losing it all together. But something that I am excited about is changing my signature. My signature is pretty much a squiggly line so now I’m going to take this name change opportunity to make it look like I give a damn when I sign documents. Let’s do this, married life!!

  • Yield: 4-5 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 small zucchinis, shredded
  • 1 pound ground Italian sausage
  • 1/2 yellow onion, minced
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 12 eggs, whisked
  • 810 basil leaves, sliced + extra for garnishing
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
  2. Shred zucchinis, place between two paper towels and place a heavy dish on top to help pull out the excess liquid.
  3. Place a large oven safe sauté pan over medium heat. Add italian sausage, onion, and garlic clove to pan and break sausage apart with a wooden spoon. Cook until meat is browned and no pink remains. Remove from heat. Whisk together eggs, basil, red pepper flakes and salt then pour into pan with sausage and onion. Then add in shredded zucchini that has excess water removed. Mix to combine completely then place extra basil leaves throughout pan on top of the egg mixture.
  4. Place in oven to bake for 25 minutes or until eggs do not jiggle in the middle of the pan. Slice and eat!

Yes, yes, and yes! I couldn’t agree with you more about Kanye on Ellen. I made my husband re-watch it with me because it was so unbelievable. It’s like he doesn’t know how to have a conversation (or be interviewed), he can only rant nonsense. He just seemed so confused at the beginning when Ellen was asking him simple questions. Almost child like in his responses. But then it was like a switch flipped and it turned into a poetry slam! I really tried to watch it with an open mind, but nope, I’m still not a fan. And why does he need other people’s money to change the world? If he reeaalllly wanted to change the world with all of his great ideas, why isn’t he cracking open his own wallet? I think there’s probably some sort of mental illness going on there, and I worry if he doesn’t get help, what could happen. I never thought I’d ever say this, but poor Kim. On a brighter note, I’m stoked about this recipe as I have zucchini that needs to get eaten, and LOVE frittatas. I just recently found your website and I made your 5 ingredient pizza deliciousness on Sunday, and have eaten it every day since. I just got your latest cookbook too, and have so many pages marked with recipes I want to try right now! You are a genious, Juli, and I love, love, love your sense of humour too. Keep up the awesome work!

i heard that he was $50 million in debt from his clothing line. i don’t know if that’s true but I remember hearing that somewhere. that’s probably why he needs other people’s money lol. but SERIOUSLY, he seemed so child like in the questions at the beginning, so so awkward! xoxo, thanks for the awesome comment, love when people share their thoughts here!

I waited a year before going through the whole name change process–and am still working through getting stuff changed like credit cards and stuff. I also decided to take my maiden name as my middle name because I couldn’t imagine getting rid of it completely–it’s still so weird to have to sign another name! HitchSwitch was what I used and it was a huge help.

Also, I’m so excited to start reading your posts about The Bachelorette now that it’s started again! I love JoJo and can’t wait for this season!:)

I don’t usually watch Ellen but a friend was at the taping for the Kanye show and omg. I don’t get him at all! Totally agree with you on that.

And good luck with the name change! I can’t imagine giving up any of my names – my middle name is my grandma’s name and I like my last name…maybe I’d just add my guy’s last name and have 4 names? Ugh but that sounds high maintenance. Hope everything goes smoothly for you with the switch!

OK I just wend and watched the video of Kanye and I agree with you 1000% this speech is absolutely garbage and dazed. It’s funny he is actually will try to be a president. But hey, if Trump can, why should it be Kanye West next?

    Thanks for the recipe 🙂

    1. juli says:

I TOTALLY almost wrote that same sentence about Trump and Kanye, but I try to stay away from politics lol but seriously though

Thanks for posting this recipe! I was searching for a frittata to make ahead and take with me camping next weekend and then BOOM new blog post. You really do make cooking PALEO sooo friendly! Some sites can be so fussy with the recipes, so thank you for making FUN and accessible paleo food and blasting it in my email, instagram, snapchat and right here in your blog!

Ugh name changing was the worst! My mom owns a business and got remarried and was just like…ain’t no way lol. I’ve also been married 9 months and my checks and one credit card still say my maiden name becuase A) I’m too cheap to order checks I NEVER use and B) I got tired of sending proof of name change to places and I barely use my credit card. I just carry around both licenses in case 🙂

  8. Stephanie S says:

After a lot of thought, I made the decision not to change my name after marriage. It just seemed weird after 30+ years to all of a sudden have a new name and a new signature – plus I didn’t want to deal with all the hassle (I live internationally, so I didn’t want to deal with changing documents in multiple countries). My husband was super supportive, and in the end I’m so much happier to still have ‘my’ name. Everyone knows we’re married, so it didn’t seem like a big deal to me to keep my name.

  9. Kelly @ Eat the Gains says:

My mom’s maiden name is Kelly and she never changed her name to my dad’s because she didn’t like how it sounded and my dad’s sister already had that name…they have the same first name. Anyway, they named me Kelly after her maiden name, but once she started telling people that they named me Kelly, they were like so your daughters name is Kelly Kelly. Um no you dumbassses, who would do that to their child. They didn’t know she still had her maiden name but still!

  10. Melissa says:

I used HitchSwitch! They were awesome so far. All I had to do is put my information in online and they sent me every piece of paperwork already filled out for me, even down to the postage on the envelopes that I needed to send out. You still have to go to the Social Security office if you don’t want to send your marriage license through the mail and such, so I haven’t done that part yet. But HitchSwitch was really awesome and I recommend them!
