The analyzer guy at the party……..**WEIRDO**!!!!!
Just listened to this podcast. So glad you spoke up, it couldn’t have come at a better time for me. Love your podcast, it’s always a refreshing distraction from life’s craziness!
thank you Mik
I LOVED this podcast episode so much! It was exactly what I needed to hear. Thank you so much for your honesty and vulnerability. I know it couldn’t have been easy to put yourself out there like that. I truly admire you.
I always listen to your podcast when I’m doing house chores on Saturdays but after a few minutes of listening I had to stop what I was doing and sit down and really listen. I could completely relate to so much of what you said. I don’t think you have anything to apologize for. You have every right to speak your truth on your platform. I didn’t feel like you were bashing anyone, you were just being honest about your experience.
wow thank you so much Jen! the podcast definitely came with some backlash so i really appreciate the support!
This brought tears to my eyes. You killed it. Thank you
thanks Josephine
I love all of your content and podcasts but especially this one! Thank you for being brave and talking about an issue that needs to be talked about. I have always respected your work ethic and the person you are and now I feel that way even more.
that’s so sweet of you to say. thank you erin!
YES. YES. YES. It’s insanity that women have to deal with this at all. And that people now look at women reporting sexual assault as ” a political” thing. We are going backwards so fast. I think the more of us who use our voices and speak up, the better. This is not a political position. It is about human rights and our freedom as American citizens.
Sorry you have to deal with clueless men in your industry. They need to stay in their lane and stay the hell out of what women ought to look like. Commenting on someone’s appearance and clothing in any way other than a general compliment or interest? Go back to the 50’s, loser.
I’ve been reading some sober blogs lately, and though I’m not sober, they make some eye-opening points about our drinking culture and how it’s a tool to keep women “in their place” in many ways. Like it’s looked on as women’s fault if they got too drunk and got in a bad situation, but it’s never men who get shamed and blamed for drinking too much and committing assault – it’s more like an accepted excuse.
You are particularly awesome and I love your recipes, fashion (even though I’m not really into fashion at all), workouts and most especially your spirit and writing. I also loathe football! Thanks for being there. And thank you for speaking out. We are not going to just shut up and accept bad behavior anymore.
it’s so true. women are criticized for so much while men are commended. it’s such a warped world we live in. and not only for women, but for all minorities in general. it really does feel like we are going backwards at this point
I absolutely loved this podcast! I can only imagine how you must have felt, especially during an event like the Kavanaugh confirmation hearings. I honestly got kind of emotional listening to it. I live in Alaska where we have the highest domestic violence and sexual assault rates in the nation. It’s real and it ruins lives and it’s not going to improve unless more and more people speak up. I loved hearing your voice on this issue and I respect you so much for using your platform to talk about something that is unfortunately still so controversial. Thank you so much for sharing!
thanks for the love Molly. it really sucks it’s so controversial. hopefully more and more women can find that their voice and experiences are valid.
Juli, I adore you and even more so for speaking your mind and sharing your experience. You are an amazing human, keep doing what you’re doing!!! XO.
thanks for the love Carrie!
Juli-
Just wanted to send my support for you always being free to speak your mind on your own damn podcast! And I always appreciate it when those of you who have big followings say the things that can be tough to say and speak up for those who don’t have the platform.! Keep doing you!!
