Oh no I didn’t. No I did not just post one of the most delicious things in the world. Ok, it’s not THE MOST delicious thing in the world, but it takes top 100 for sure. I mean, it has triple chocolate in the title. That means it has to be good.

This is one of those recipes that I will get a ton of sh*t for. Because it’s not “strict” paleo. It has sugar in it. It’s naughty. It’s going against why we even eat paleo. Blah blah blah. I get it. I do. We all have sought out paleo to either feel better, look better. poop better, or just because everyone else is doing it. And paleo tells us sugar is bad. And if you’ve heard me talk about sugar before, you know that we have a very dysfunctional relationship. I hate it and don’t even look at it for months, then have a little bit and feel like balls.

BUT if we can’t ever have delicious treats while eating paleo, how is it sustainable? How are we suppose to never touch another cookie, another muffins, another chocolate truffle again? That’s why I make paleo treats. So paleo can be sustainable and you can enjoy it in every way. I ate 1/2 of one of these truffles and gave the rest away. They didn’t make me sick, they didn’t make me depressed, and they didn’t make me feel liked I weighed 3x what I weighed yesterday. Always a plus. But that’s what is important to remember about treats, they are TREATS. Paleo or not paleo. It’s so easy to go psycho about paleo treats and think that we can eat the whole thing and not feel guilty about it. Believe me, I would know. And wish that were the case. But we gotta learn to keep our sh*t on lock and not eat the whole batch. I know, it sucks.

I say all this because I recently came across a forum that was filled with some paleomg haterzzzzz. That’s how they spelled it. I should let them know it’s properly spelled haters. Anywho, these people obviously hatezzzzz paleomg. Understandable. I’m completely annoying, my photography sucks, and based on what they think, I suffer from disordered eating by not eating enough or I stuff my face constantly with chocolate covered walnuts, donuts, or paleo treats. Which one is it? If you honestly think I starve myself, you’re high. If you think I stuff my face sometimes, you’re totally right. No chocolate covered nuts though. They jack my sh*t up. I just wanted to clear the air though, if you’re a paleomg haterzzzz, I feel your pain. I live with the b*tch. But thanks for still supporting my blog. Love you too.

I immensely enjoy your daily recipes, especially the desert ones! Silly complainers shouldn’t get you down. I wish I could come up with amazing, delicious, paleo-based foods, but then I’d be eating terrible food on a daily basis. I look to you to help me out, and I have never been disappointed, Keep making the awesomeness and writing your hilarious blog! I cannot wait for your cookbook!

Like I tell my young children, when people pick on you or tease you, they are likely jealous, or like you and don’t know how to show it! Ignore the immature and disrespectful adults acting like children, and focus on how much good you do for so many people! You were truly one of the reasons I decided to go paleo, and you are partly responsible for the 15 lbs i have lost and my triglycerides being at 49 for the first time ever! (They used to be in the 200s when I was doing Body for Life and Zone.) So thank you!!! Not a week goes by that I don’t make several of your recipes. I am making your sticky apple bars to take to our Crossfit social this weekend! I have taken your zucchini/squash/almond butter/coconut milk veggies many times, and they are always a hit!

Can’t wait to try this recipe, this looks amazing!

Thank you for all that you do for so many people!

I had to post my 2 cents about the lame-ass haterzzz too (the spelling is just totally LAME in itself! I feel dumber just for typing it.) First of all, anyone who takes time out of their life to spread hate of any kind just invites it right back into their own lives. Sad people. So, just realize they are only hurting themselves and don’t allow their negative BS into your mind. Hate breeds hate and paleo treats like yours breed happiness! 🙂

True story: people have too much time on their hands.

  5. Kevin says:

Shrug of the haters, they’re jealous. Look at it this way – think of all the people that read the hater’s posts and then have to check out paleomg to get some material for their own hating and then find out it’s awesome! Any press is good press

    Right. Exactly.
It’s called COMMON SENSE, people! (Actually… it’s not all that common.. I think it needs to be re-named.)
Anyway, here’s another person who loves your blog & I think you should ignore stupid haters who can’t spell. 🙂

i’m not a hater; i’m a lover! i love your approach to paleo because it’s doable. i’m just not going to give up sweets, no matter how “good for me” others tell me it would be. being able to have something sweet that doesn’t have refined sugar in it allows me to maintain MY paleo lifestyle. so, you rock and this is WINNING! thanks!

    YOU JUST MADE MY DAY.

  9. Aaron says:

I was shocked when I read this had sugar in it then I read the recipe list and didn’t see any sugar. Whew, I can still follow my favorite paleo blog!!
Honey, a naturally occurring food. Sounds paleo to me. I quote:
“Believed to be first created by Khoisan people at least 15 000 years ago, this simple mixture of honey, water and yeast was possibly the first human experiment in biotechnology.”
It’s been around awhile and it’s good (in moderation like most things).

I’m officially a despiser of “paleomg haterzzzzz” (if they can make up words, so can I).

    1. lover says:

Um, read a little more carefully, there, Aaron. Chocolate chips have SUGAR.
