Oh noooooo. It’s off to a tough morning over here. I’ve lost a document that’s pretty damn important so my heart is beating just a bit faster than it needs to on a Monday morning. It is Monday, right?? I just got back to town yesterday and I’m a bit lost with life at the moment. I haven’t worked out since Wednesday last week and I’m in need of a hard week of workouts, my home cooking and fully staying away from sugar. I’ve become just a little addicted to sugar after traveling so much recently and now it’s time to cut the cord and say goodbye to my sugar treat friends.
But in the meantime, while I throw away all sugar in my house, I want to share some huge news in case you missed it yesterday!! I just came out with another round of activewear!! But not just leggings this time around. This time I came out with 7/8 length leggings, crops, shorts, and sports bras – all in 6 different colors and patterns. This activewear is my favorite yet! Each pieces is incredibly comfortable, they stay in place while working out, they don’t rub in all the wrong places, and every single pair has a pocket on the side, even the shorts!

- Power Snatch (115/75) – I did 85# power cleans

Tuesday – CrossFit Broadway Class
Every Minute on the Minute x 10: 1 Power Clean + Push Jerk – I worked up to 115#
First set at 60%, add as you wish.
Then For Time: (15 min cap)
- 50 Chest to Bar Pull Ups
- 40 Burpees
- 30 Clean & Jerk (205/145)
I finished in 6:45 using 95# and doing regular kipping pull ups
Wednesday – CrossFit Broadway Class
Every 2 mins x 16 mins, Alternating.
- 15 Ring Dips + Max Cal Row – I did 10 stationary dips
- 16 Alt Pistols + Max Cal Row – I did 16 weighted pistols
Then 6 min AMRAP OF:
- 60 DU
- 14 Alt DB Snatch (50/35)
I got 5 rounds using 30#
Thursday – Rest Day
Friday – Paddleboarding in Leavenworth, WA
Saturday – Rest Day

I find it very inspiring to hear about how you get yourself back on track after traveling. Sometimes when I look at people like yourself that are extremely fit, it can feel like it just happens like magic for them. But the truth is, you prioritize exercise and eating well–that’s why you look the way you look! Thank you for your honesty on this blog–I really appreciate it!
i feel that same way when i look at people online, but it staying in shape definitely takes a lot of work. i’m going to chat more about that experience on the podcast soon!
Hey Julie! Love your blog! Have you considered making your workouts more print-out friendly and explaining some of the moves? I would like to do your workouts but I’m not all that familiar with some of the lingo/moves that you cite. Just an idea–obviously you are knowledgeable about workouts. I think you could turn your fitness routines into a ‘product’ so to speak just like your recipes where your layout the detailed instructions/picture/etc. Keep being awesome!
not at this point, but i definitely hope to create something where everything in broken down and movements are explained in more detail, along with printable format. but at this point, i just don’t have time to set that up in these exact posts. but hoping it can turn into that!
