Good morning out there from snowy and freezing cold Denver. I really need to pay attention to the weather report more often because I had zero idea it was going to snow today and I had big plans to run to the gym. But that definitely ain’t happening now. I ran 1.5 miles yesterday and my calves are already killing me. Fitness is hard.

Speaking of fitness being hard…that’s one of the best parts. If exercise were easy, everyone would be doing it. But if you’re reading this post, you’re most likely part of the small population of people that exercises regularly and pushes through that pain and frustration that regularly occurs when you hit up the gym. And what I love about the pain and frustration of exercise is that it builds a stronger person, both inside and outside. When you’re exercising daily, not only are you building muscle, but you’re building a stronger character. And that goes so far in so many ways.

Remember to not think of exercise as only physical changes. The mental changes that can occur from regular exercise can change you in so many ways. It can make you a more diligent at work, it can make you more confident, it can make you a better partner. And so many different things play into this. But at the end of the day, exercise can create a better version of the person you are now. So if you’re losing motivation whatsoever as January goes on, remember that the best version of yourself is possible. It’s just waiting for you to discover it! So get moving!

And before I let you go, I wanted to remind you that I’ve been nominated for the 2nd Annual LIKEtoKNOW.it Awards! There are 5 categories – Fashion, Beauty, Home, Family and FITNESS! And I’ve a nominee in the fitness category! Voting goes until January 31st and I would absolutely love it if you could vote! You can vote here for the next few days! Thank you for your support!!
