Saturday – This was my first real workout back from bronchitis. It was mostly going through the movements. And I modified a sh*t ton.

400m run before each movement (I rowed instead)

15 clean and jerk (135/95) –  I used 85#

30 toes to bar

45 wall balls

45 kettlebell swings (70/55) – I used 45#

30 ring dips – I did 50 hand release push ups

15 front rack lunges (135/95)- I used 85#

I think I finished this in 26 something. I don’t really know. I do know that since it was still cold out and I was still getting over bronchitis, I rowed instead and it made me feel like it took the entire hour of class.

Sunday – This workout I did with my friend Jason, who kicks my ass in everything, but I was finally feeling better and ready for a little sprinter. It proved to not turn out like a sprinter, time wise, but it was still awesome. I loved this one.

5 rounds for time:

250m row

15 handstand push ups

12 power cleans (135,95) – I used 85#

60 double unders

I finished in 20:56

Monday

12 mins to find a heavy: 2 x Push Jerk into Split Jerk. From floor – I got to 130#

3 x 5 Front Squats. All sets at 83% – I did mine at 125#

6 min AMRAP OF: 6 Front Squats (185/125) and 10 Burpees Over Bar – I got 4 rounds + 5 reps (105#)

Tuesday – I think I have officially sworn off ring dips. They straight up hurt my boobs. I don’t have muscle on my chest anymore and don’t care about building muscle there, so it just hurts. Even when using a band. Same with ring push ups. So I think I’ll stick to regular push ups instead, from now on. Boob safety first.

Bent Over Row: 5×5. Adding. – I got to 105#

2 Rounds For Total Reps:

1 min Max Strict Ring Dips

1 min Max Strict Pull Ups

1 min Rest

I got 52 reps

For Time: (12 min Time Cap)

6 Power Snatch (135/95)

25 Toes To Bar

6 PS – 20 T2B

6 PS – 15 T2B

6 PS – 10 T2B

6 PS – 5 T2B

I finished in 8:23 using 75#

Wednesday – Rest Day!

Thursday – I’m not going to even act like I remember any of this workout. So get this. My friend Katie and I often meet up at 8am to do a workout between the regular scheduled classes. Both of our schedules are so different so it’s the only time we really get to see each other and get a good workout in. That being said, I never have an excuse to cancel on her. So I pulled myself out of bed to workout at 8am, unhappily, and she created this lawd awful workout. She just kept adding more double unders. And I actually like double unders. But I just sucked that day. I couldn’t do any wall balls or pull ups unbroken. Someone stole my jump rope so I had to use someone else’s while my blood was boiling. And start any workout out with weighted lunges in trying to kill yourself. My calves were barely working the next two days. I took the entire weekend off.

6 minute AMRAP of:

200m row

12 front rack lunges (135/95) – I used 85#

1 minute rest

150 double unders

25 wall balls

15 pull ups

100 DU – 25 WB – 15 PU

75 – 25 – 15

50 – 25 – 15

1 minute rest

4 minute AMRAP:

200m row

12 front rack lunges (135/95)- I used 85#

Gross.

Friday – I think our coach is really into chest lately. Because bench press is yet another thing that my boobs aren’t in to. I stuck light and still could feel a little crunchy within my shoulder. Looks like I need to be doing a bit more mobility there

Back Squats: 5 x 3. First set at 77% Add from there. – I got to 155#

Between sets: 5 x 7 Dumbbell Bench Press. Adding. – I used 30# dumbbells

6 min AMRAP OF:

200m Run

12 Push Jerks (155/105) – I used 75#

 I got 4 rounds + 200 m run

3 min REST THEN

6 min AMRAP OF:

250m Row

12 Push Jerks (155/105) – I used 75#

I got 3 rounds

Did anyone else feel like this whole post was about boobs? You perve!

Yeah I was kind of getting that vibe too reading through 🙂 Smart of you to modify coming back from being sick. Glad you’re feeling better!

I work in a gym and I don’t know when the last time I did a bench press is! Maybe I should give it a try. Gainzz.

I don’t enjoy ring dips either! Happy you’re feeling better.

Yeah, bronchitis does totally bite. I can never decide if I am grossed out by the yellowish-green junk that I am coughing up, or freaked out that that has been inside of me and there is probably a lot more. I’m not into the whole upper body and chest development thing – ever notice that it’s always guys who demand that you do a lot of those reps? Easy for them to say!
