Well gooooooooood morning! I hope your Monday is off to an awesome start, too! I went to bed at 9pm last night knowing that all I needed to turn around my bad attitude was a good nights sleep and that’s exactly what I got! So I’m ready to take on the day, get some good workouts in after traveling last week, and stay super productive until the very last moment before we leave for our one year wedding anniversary trip in Costa Rica! I’m seriously so excited for this trip and to see what we decide to get into once we get there. We haven’t planned anything other than where we are staying, so we will see what the week brings!

In the meantime, let’s chat about last weeks workouts. They were kind of all over the place. I was actually at a different gym with every single workout I did! And I just recently found that reddit covers all the Orange Theory workouts so I’ll be sure to link those workouts whenever I share my OTF summaries to help you understand exactly what we did that day!

Before I let you go, let’s chat a little bit about motivation this week. Because even I go through those moments of “is this workout and diet thing even working?!” It’s pretty easy to feel like everything you’ve been doing, all the hard work you’ve put in, and every moment you’ve spent working hard just isn’t giving you the results you want. And it can get pretty easy to throw in the towel. But remind yourself – hard work truly does pay off. You may not see your results in a week or a month, but you WILL see the results at some point and those results will continue to build with your continuous hard work. These are things I have to remind myself when I’m doubting or questioning my healthy routine. Don’t forget to continue on your route to a healthier and happier life. These healthy habits build and your 10 year older self will thank you for all the time and energy you put in when you were 10 years younger! So keep chipping away, push away the doubts, and be proud of what you are accomplishing in that moment!!

Oh wait! This is crazy and totally random in comparison to everyone else who is part of it, but I was recently nominated for Victoria’s Secret ‘What is Sexy 2017’ in the Fitness category and you can vote now for your favorite until April 12th! I’m in the same category as the amazing women behind Tone it Up and some adorable Aussie women! Be sure to vote for your favorite before it closes!

I voted for you! You should use the pic of you on the beach in Jamaica. You’re the only one using a workout pic. Hope you win!

I found the Orange Theory subreddit about a month ago and have been doing the treadmill workouts at 24 hour fitness. I feel like OTF would probably hate to know that, but it’s been awesome! Also, thank you for touching on that motivation piece. It’s hard to believe that you have those same feelings of “is this all even working” because just being a blog reader and IG follower we don’t know what’s going on in your head, but it’s comforting to know you have those feelings too. Oh, and I did vote!

    1. juli says:

thanks, kira! i think people are straight up lying if they say they never doubt themselves in some way!

  4. Kate says:

Just voted for you as well!
Thanks for the motivational talk. Certainly takes a lot of effort and cost to stay healthy and I also question sometimes whether it’s all worth it, especially when around people who don’t care. But it certainly is and it helps to hear the thoughts of like minded people such as yourself.

    1. juli says:

      thanks for the love, kate!

Weird question but have you ever had a belly – like rolls and squishable, grabbable fat over the entire belly area? Any suggestions on how to shred that?

    1. juli says:

yes, more so love handles. and the only thing that has gotten rid of that is continuously working out and sticking with a healthy diet 80+% of the time and limiting alcohol and sugar

      1. Melissa says:

Thanks girl … damn, I was hoping there was some secret formula but it sounds like the whole 80% clean eating rule is right (as I sit here, dreaming of choco chip cookies and with my pants unbuttoned cause it’s too damn tight – thank goodness for high desks!).

Was listening to your Favorite Things podcast this AM … have you seen any results from the collagen?

        1. juli says:

my nails are growing hella fast, for sure!

  6. Courtney says:

I heart your blog and the Tone It Up girls! I know you enjoy trying different workouts and switching it up, so I was wondering if you ever considered testing the waters with the Tone It Up Bikini Series? Its an 8 week online program that they give daily workouts along with a nutrition plan to follow, doubtful you need that. It would be interesting to see your transformation while doing their workouts and sticking to your clean eating diet. Just something to check out or think about if you already have not! And keep up all the amazing work!

    1. juli says:

i’ve totally thought about trying them out! but i just personally love going to classes so at this point, i probably won’t be trying them out for a little bit. but it looks like people love their stuff and i’m sure i would, too!

Any tips on how to decode the reddit orange theory workouts? What is 2G/3G etc and how do we figure out weights/reps? Is the (6/8/10) reps? Could be a fun blog post…decoding orange theory lingo haha. I’d love to try the workouts at my gym, I no longer live near an orange theory!

Thanks! Love your blog. I think you’re my spirit animal!
