I think I’ve finally figured out my workout schedule that seems to work pretty well for my body nowadays. I’ll probably keep this up for a while until we start our new, more intensive cardio plan at my gym, CrossFit Broadway. This new schedule I’ve started doing seems to really work for my body AND mind. I work my ass off at the beginning of the week, decent in the middle then take a breather by the end. And then on some random days, I just do some bic’s and tri’s because…why not!

Who the eff am I kidding, let’s talk about what I’m most excited about!! I GOT ENGAGED!!! Yes ma’am. My boyfriend got down on one knee and made me cry tears of pure happiness. Pretty epic feeling. But I’ll get to that. Let’s get fit first.

Sunday – Bicep Curls. Some flies. Some tricep extensions. I think I did 2 power cleans. Then I socialized. I’m sorry, socializing is just way more fun on a Sunday.

Thursday – Rest day! Perfect day to take a rest day, especially since I was pms-ing like a motha effa, so I was grumpy to all end. I don’t really know why, the day started off rather well. Sergio and I grabbed some brunch, then ran some errands around town. This is something we do usually on a weekly basis and is always fun. But after taking Jackson to the dog park and still being a slight b*tch, I decided to go get a mani pedi to hopefully increase endorphins. It didn’t work. I finished the book 50 Shades of Grey and was instantly disappointed with the ending. I know there are other books, but I was still pissed. Then I hated my nail color. Noooooo. But the whole reason I got my nails done is because I was heading to a surprise birthday party for a friend. So I complained to the boyfriend that I didn’t want to go but I would put some make up on and my new favorite top and be merry.

So I had been getting group texts from girlfriends all day about meeting up for drinks for my girlfriends bday. But I never knew where we were getting drinks at until about an before. Which annoyed me. I like plans. Planning is my favorite. So that made me grumpy too. I know, get yourself together Juli. So I grabbed an Uber down to the Clocktower building downtown, with a great paleo Uber driver I might add and was instantly asked by a woman if I was there for my friend’s bday. She sent me up the elevator where I pretty quickly saw rose petals and thought that my friend’s husband had really gone all out this year. But once I turned the corner, I saw my boyfriend and instantly started crying. The setting was beautiful with rose petals on the floor and a small table for two in front of the clock with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. I truly have no idea what he said, he has no idea either, but I do remember him getting down on one knee and me getting down on both knees to cry into his shoulder. We both instantly had to stand up because our knees hurt. Wow. He gave me a ring my dad designed and created. Pretty effing awesome.

We then popped some bubbly and walked through the Clocktower that had a bar and gluten free cupcakes ready for me to devour. We headed to the balcony and were able to see the entire downtown area. And before I knew it, our best friends and family, even his family from Nebraska, began to shuffle in the Clocktower along with Quiero Arepas (my favorite food truck). At one point, he had me come out to the balcony to look at another building that said ‘Congrats Juli and Brian’. Shout out to Jerret and Ryan for putting that up and risking their lives in the process. So awesome. It was a night of partying with our closest friends and family. And it was amazing. He’s amazing. I hate when people say they are “the luckiest girl in the world” but I truly felt that way. It’s a really amazing feeling to never be so sure about something in your life. I’ve found someone who makes me a better person, who pushes me, who believes in me and who understands me. I have really found a fantastic man with the most fantastic qualities. It’s really awesome.

Wanna know something I found out later? My friend whose birthday is was accidentally sent me that she meant to send to my boyfriend about his “soon to be fiancé”. Well, she instantly saw her mistake and started FREAKING OUT. She called my boyfriend bawling her eyes out telling him what she accidentally did, thinking she ruined the entire proposal. Thankfully, I was with Sergio and wasn’t paying attention to my phone so Brian texted him to get a hold of my phone and erase her text. He asked to see my phone because he wanted to see the phone case and I handed it right over. I’m dumb. Sergio normally does some mean sh*t if he gets ahold of your phone. I thought nothing of it. Then my friend got pulled over, got a ticket, and her baby threw up on her during the whole ordeal. She pretty much had the worst birthday ever and I had the best day ever. We need to redo her birthday next weekend. For suuuuure.

We went to Snooze the next morning for brunch. I mean, does this man know me or what?

I’m so damn excited!! And super excited to share some wedding planning details on the blog! Wanna help me pick colors?? Ok!!

Juli- congrats to you, and the obviously lucky man! Nothing but happiness for the both of you!

As far as losing your 6 male readers of your blog? I can’t speak for the other 5, but I have no plans of going anywhere! Unless this is a subtle hint? lol

It’s because of you that I have embraced Paleo, lost weight and feel better than I have in ages (which I do not plan to reveal).

Once again, congrats to the both of you and keep on rockin’!

So happy for you Juli! You said in the PaleOMG weekly newsletter that you would lose your 6 male readers. I don’t know about the other 5 but your happiness just makes me happy. Takes more than a Mr Juli Bauer to get rid of me 🙂 (That sounded slightly stalkerish but I hope you know what I mean 🙂 )
