MONDAYYYYYY!! Are you having a hard time this Monday? I just coached my morning classes at my CrossFit gym and they all were completely silent. And dragging. And exhausted. Is it because it’s a holiday? Or because we are all getting older every single day? Or is it that it’s cooling down outside and our bones feel brittle. What is it people?! Tell me!

Anywho, life is back to normal around here. No more traveling…except I have to go to LA in a week…for only 10 hours…but other than that I’m back to my normal routine. Creating recipes, hanging out with my dog, and working out at my CF gym. Life is back in order. I even deep cleaned my house and started decorating. I’m so domestic. Time to get this house looking pretty so I can share some design ideas with you guys! I have absolutely no clue what the hell I’m doing, so it’s just trial and error at this point. We just painted a wall purple. Yes, purple. Hopefully this trial does not end in error. Trust me here, I’ll make it work. Tangent. Ok, back to workouts. Back at CF and feeling the fact that I haven’t done it in almost a month while I was traveling. I can feel my core is much weaker and lifts aren’t near as steady as they used to be. But I’m slowly getting back to normal! Here’s a peek at what I did this week plus some workout music, outfits, and of course, what I stuffed my face with! Feel free to share what you’re listening to and working out in in the comment section!!

What I Ate in a Day:

Woke up at 7:00 on Saturday and asked the guy to take me to coffee. Our coffee maker broke before I left for book tour and I’ve been putting off getting a new one. Which is stupid when you’re paying $4 for coffee. Dumb, Juli, you’re dumb. So he gladly agreed and took me to grab a tall coconut milk latte from Starbucks.

After only drinking about 1/2 my coffee (my normal coffee routine), I ate about 1/4 cup of Udi’s gluten free cranberry granola. Just enough to settle my stomach before a workout. When I workout in the morning, I like to have just a little something in my stomach but not enough to give me a stomach ache. That was the perfect amount.

Workout at 9am. CrossFit workout of back squats, double unders, and running.

After working out, I headed back home to make a late breakfast. After making sweet potatoes the easiest way ever a few nights back, I still had leftovers that I had pureed with almond milk and cinnamon. So I cooked up some apple fennel breakfast sausage from Juli Bauer’s Paleo Cookbook, then cooked the pureed sweet potato and an egg in the fat of the breakfast sausage, topped it with chimichurri from Juli Bauer’s Paleo Cookbook and ate it with a butter biscuit from All-American Paleo Table.

After breakfast, I watched an episode of Pioneer Woman then got inspired to get to cooking. So I headed to the grocery store then World Market and got to cookin’ at home. While I cooked, I heard a knock on the door and was greeted by my favorite man in the whole word: the fedex guy. He handed me over a package of Eating Evolved chocolate butter spreads. So I got to snackin’ right away. A spoonful of the pumpkin chocolate butter was just enough. So rich and so delicious!

After making red curry for the blog and clicking a few pictures of it (which you’ll have the recipe for tomorrow) then I ate up some of it for lunch around 2:30. After writing the blog and editing the photos, I snacked on a few cubes of grass fed cheddar and 1/2 noosa coconut yogurt.

The rest of the day was spent cleaning the house, doing 4 loads of laundry, then watching 2 episodes Narcos. Are you as addicted to that show as I am? When it was time to leave for a friends house up north, I stuffed my face with two large handfuls of maple & sea salt Quinn popcorn. I know I know, you hate me so much for my dairy and corn intake. Stop getting so heated, it’s only Monday!!!

Dinner was at a friends house where I totally forgot to take a pictures, but it consisted of a burger with a piece of cheese on top, topped with Sir Kensington’s Mayo and organic ketchup and mustard, then a side of brussels sprouts, onions, and maybe peppers? I don’t know. Veggies.

To end the night off, I cuddled a golden retriever and ate a piece of chocolate covered mango. Sadly, whatever chocolate was lined on that mango messed my stomach up. Bastard.

That’s all, folks! Lots of snacking, lots of water, 2 La Croix’s and a tummy ache from a little chocolate. As you can see, I eat dairy regularly since it doesn’t upset my stomach and I have popcorn whenever I’m craving it, I just make sure to get organic and non-GMO. Who knows if it makes a difference, but it makes me feel better!

OH MY GOD THAT CHIMICHURRI! I made the marinated flank steak and chimichurri from your new book tonight and that’s my new favorite sauce, I want to put it on everything. We’ve tried about 6 recipes so far and every one is phenomenal, great job!
