Holy freaking crap. It’s the 17th of December. This means that we have family coming in to town late this week, then it’s Christmas, then we leave for Cabo for NYE. What in the hell? Where did the time freaking go?! After last week with Jackson’s health scare, dates and time didn’t matter and now it’s the middle of December. Absolutely bananas.

And with this time comes the New Year upon us. Are you excited?! I am. I think mostly because I get to ring in the New Year in sunny Mexico. We did that last year and it was the absolute best. BUT I’m also excited to see what the NY brings. I’m hoping to do a little construction on our house, travel to France, cuddle with my dog every single day, and I really hope I can come up with new content that you guys love.

But that’s not why we are here today. Let’s talk a little fitness before you go. In the next couple weeks, I’m going to be talking about about creating a better relationship with exercise to make it simply part of your routine instead of feeling like a chore. And one of the first ways to start that is finding a workout that you love. I use to HATE working out. I hated going to the gym, I always felt very judged, and I felt like I didn’t fit in. And because of that, it took all of my strength and courage to walk into a gym every day. The problem was, I just hadn’t found the right workout for me yet. It wasn’t until CrossFit that I found a gym I was excited to walk into every day and looking forward to what I was about to put my body through.

CrossFit doesn’t have to be your thing. It could be swimming or Zumba or kickboxing or HIIT classes. Whatever it is, find it. Try new things, get outside your comfort zone, and push yourself to have confidence in those first few classes. Because if you can talk yourself in to being confident that one day, you may find a class that completely changes your life for the better. That ONE class may be the moment your health completely turns around. So go try something new. Be brave and get outside your comfort zone. You never know how that one class may be the stepping stone to a better life!

What I Ate in a Day:

This is what I ate in a day when I was in another city taking care of Jackson and didn’t have a kitchen available to cook my own meals!

PaleOMG What I Ate in a Day

Around 6:30am, I made coffee at the Edwards Inn. It had a tablespoon or so of half and half, some liquid stevia and a packet of collagen.

For breakfast, I had a gluten free eggs benedict with one piece of GF toast, smashed avocado, onion relish, one over easy egg, arugula and 2 pieces of bacon. I ate all of it.

Later on in the morning, I had a flat white coffee at Starbucks while I worked.

For lunch, I ate from the hot bar at Whole Foods. I had pulled pork with veggies, green beans, pureed butternut squash and a little potato gratin.

For a snack later on in the afternoon, I had 5 dried apricots and 1/2 peanut butter packet.

For dinner once I got back home, my husband got us lettuce wrapped burgers from 5 guys. Mine came with 2 patties and I didn’t finish all of it. I also had some french fries.

For dessert, I had 1 Justin’s mini peanut butter cup!
