Good morning and happy Monday out there! I’m currently still in Bali, enjoying every second of the very slow life out here. We are staying in Bali for 2 weeks and this is the longest vacation we have ever been on. And I have to say – it’s amazing. No rush to do a million things before the short trip ends. Each day we get to decide if we want to do something or just be lazy AF. Yesterday we hiked a mountain at 3am to watch the sunrise and ended up walking almost 10 miles in total. So today we do nothing. We plan to spend our last full day in Canggu sitting on the beach, enjoying fancy cocktails, and watching the sunset. It’s really a shame that most people in the US aren’t given many vacation days because it does wonders for the soul. It should be law to have to take 2 or more weeks off at a time. Seriously.
As you’ll see below, there weren’t many workouts going down last week. Part of the week was traveling, then recovering from traveling, and just simply enjoying the travel itself. I don’t put much weight into working out when I’m traveling because I want to give my body time to relax and recover. So I just simply work out when I feel like it. I’ll often visit gyms when I’m traveling, but I also bring exercise bands with me to ensure that I have some sort of resistance training when I can’t make it into a gym. Exercise bands take up barely any space or weight in your suitcase so they are easy to pack! Highly recommend taking some with you on your next trip!
And what you’ll also see below is a breakdown of what I ate in a day while on vacation. It’s nothing super clean or healthy, especially since our house manager cooks breakfast for us each day so we don’t have much say in what we eat. I don’t really worry about diet on vacation. I try to eat vegetables when I can, I try to not overdo it with alcohol, and I try to not eat until I’m overly full. I used to OBSESS about eating healthy every meal, but it just often adds stress to the situation and for other people. So I just mindfully eat and drink, then move on with my day. I leave my super clean eating for when I’m in the comfort of my own home and the cooking is under my control. Life is too short to obsess on vacation. Enjoy every second of it! Now I’m off to the beach to do just that!

What I Ate in a Day:
For breakfast at 7am in Bali, I had 1 small cup of coffee with cream and stevia and 1 piece of gluten free toast with peanut butter and jam. And a couple pieces of mango on the side.
Around 9am, I had a coconut milk iced cappuccino at a restaurant.
For lunch, we ordered takeout and I got a gluten free protein waffle topped with peanut butter and apple cinnamon. I didn’t finish all of it.
For a snack later on, I had some Organic Mediterranean marinated olives and a couple more bites of the waffle.
Then for dinner, I had seafood paella (no photo since it was about pitch black in the restaurant).
