Sorry for the terrible picture, but taking selfies in a gym is hard. And working out while on the road is even harder. Luckily, I’ve had a couple extra days in some cities to get in either a hotel workout (in my room and in a hotel gym) and I have walked A TON. On Monday, as you’ll see below, I thought it would be a good idea to do about a bazillion calve raises which ended very badly. I couldn’t put my heels on the ground until Saturday. So when you see that workout, don’t do that many. NEVER do that many. I had to walk just in order to loosen my calves up. Miserable.

Anywho, book tour 2015 for my newest cookbook Juli Bauer’s Paleo Cookbook is off to such an amazing start. I started in Denver, then headed to Atlanta and Boston and each signing gets better and better! Thank you so much for everyone who came out to grab a book and talk about the recipes! I can’t wait to see all of you wonderful people who stop by my New York, Pittsburgh and Chicago signing!

Now let’s get to it! These are some of the workouts I’ve been up to recently. Next week I’ll have even more hotel workouts for you guys to do when you’re on the road and with little to no equipment!

Sunday – Surf day at the lake! Finally getting my rhythm without the rope!

Monday – Fit Class that we made up ourselves between coaching classes! Remember, DO NOT do this many calf raises!

100 calf raises with feet on a plate and barbell on back (I highly recommend do not doing this many – I would cut it in half, or even less)

90 hop over benches

80 band kick backs (40 per leg)

60 kettlebell deadlifts

50 sit ups

40 TRX pistol into curtsy squat

30 TRX tricep extensions

25 side v-ups (per side)

Tuesday – CrossFit Class

Strict Press: 5 x Max Effort Sets at 70% of 1 Rep Max. (for total reps)

After Each Press Set: 30 sec L-Sit

Then For Total Time:

3 Rounds Of:

200m Run

15 Deadlift (255/175) – I used 125#

5 rounds for time:

15 push ups

15 sit ups

12 bicep curls with band (per arm)

12 tricep extensions with band (per arm)

then a 2 mile walk to grab some food at Arepa Mia

Friday – Travel day to Boson then straight to my signing at Barnes & Noble in Framingham!

Saturday – Even though book tour is awesome and it’s so fun to get to meet different people in all kinds of cities, it can get lonely. Luckily, I have a real fantastic man in my life who flew out to Boston to spend just over 1 full day with me before taking a flight back to Denver on Sunday morning. So we spent our Saturday wandering around the city, eating the lobster out of lobster rolls, and then spent our night watching the Red Sox/Royals game. By the time we got back to the house around midnight, we had walked almost 8 miles! So that was my exercise for the day, which I was pumped about since I may or may not have eaten smothered fries…it just happened, ok?!

I’m headed to New York tonight for a signing then I have Pittsburgh and Chicago left! Are you coming out to grab a book and chat with me?! Click here for all details! Can’t wait to meet you guys!

Hi Juli! Speaking of it getting lonely traveling to cities by yourself..

I’ve been reading your blog for several years now, and have always felt like you may be the soul sister I never had.. haha.

I was in SoCal for years and my fiance was in Denver, and we are total food and fitness junkies. We moved to New York this year, and unfortunately have plans tonight and can’t make it to the signing – however, if you are going to be here for a few days, I’d love to grab a cup of coffee or meal if you’re up for that.

We frequent Colorado quite a bit and are going to be flying back and forth over the next year to plan a wedding on Boulder mountain.

Plus, it’s always fun to find good girlfriends who enjoy food, fashion, and fitness as much as I do. Feel free to shoot me an email if you’d like to connect. Or insta @becsharee

& regardless, have a great signing tonight and an awesome time while you’re here in NYC!

Loving the book signing pics! No need to ever apologize for smothered fries – and that’s so sweet that you got to spend time with your fiance while away 🙂
