Hosting parties stresses me TF out. So I don’t do it. And if a party ever arises at our house without any planning, I order pizza. I am such a gracious host. But if I know a party is coming up and there is no way to get out of it, I make a charcuterie board. Pretty much for any occasion. Dance party night? Charcuterie board. NYE get-together? Charcuterie board. Some stupid football game that I’ll never watch because it lasts 4 hours with commercial breaks every 30 seconds? Charcuterie board. Charcuterie board always saves the day and never lets anyone down. So when I saw someone making a cheese board into a wreath on social media, I decided to jump on that bandwagon full speed. And I’m real glad I did because now I have snacks for days. What a great week.

Actually, it’s been quite an uneventful week. It’s been too cold to hang out outside and too icy to take Jackson for a walk so we sit inside and work all day, every day. But that’s about to turn around with a vacation soon! I know people have mixed feelings about traveling and I did for a while, as well, but I’m ready. I’m ready to wear my mask throughout the airport, go through additional steps to get into a different country, and I’m ready to be in the sunshine and away from the snow. We are going to Cabo soon and I couldn’t be happier. Travel brings me so much joy and I’ve forgotten that joy ever since last year. We cancelled so many different trips and kind of expected for this one to be cancelled, too. But it looks like everything is going to happen and we will soon be drinking margaritas, dancing by the pool, and eating at our favorite Cabo restaurants.

And my goal is to not work (much) while I’m there. I never take a true vacation because there is always work to be done when you run your own business, but I REALLY want to turn off for a bit. BUT I have a new fitness program launching on January 1st – Power Program 2.0 – so there will still be some work going on. I don’t know why I’m telling you this because you really could care less, but things are quiet around here, ok? I know I’ve bored you to tear at this point, so I’ll just let you go on your way. And hopefully that way is to the grocery store so you can whip up this charcuterie board this weekend. Or for Christmas! I’m so over myself. Kbye.

  • Author: juli
  • Prep Time: 30 minutes
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 8-12 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces fresh rosemary
  • 0.5 ounces fresh sage
  • 4 ounces salami
  • 4 ounces prosciutto
  • 8 ounces mozzarella pearls
  • 14 ounces artichoke hearts, quartered
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup pitted green olives
  • 1/2 cup pitted kalamata olives
  • 1/3 cup calabrian peppers
  • black pepper
  • toothpicks

Instructions

  1. Place rosemary sprigs on a platter in a large circle, like a wreath! Then place sage leaves on top throughout the rosemary.
  2. Now you can build each toothpick however you like. Here’s how I build my favorite – salami or prosciutto, artichoke, mozzarella, calabrian pepper, and olive. Then feel free to build any other way you please.
  3. Add each toothpick on top of the rosemary and sage in a circle to create the full wreath. Top with black pepper before serving!
