That’s my excited face.

Oh sh*t. I can’t even hold it in. Word vomit is about to happen. I’M WRITING MY FIRST COOKBOOK!!

I’m literally tearing up just thinking about this. I’ve wanted this for so long and have gone back and forth about how I would accomplish this goal. But once I was approached by Scribe Publishing, I knew it was the right fit. Not only is the Publisher a CrossFitter as well, but she’s a paleo-er who gets my sense of humor and isn’t afraid of what I have to say. She’s so awesome.

I hadn’t thought about a writing a cookbook since my recipes are free over the internet, until readers began to ask for one. Which was very cool. It’s amazing people would actually want to purchase something when they can get it all free online. So really, I’m writing this cookbook for all of you who have supported me and wanted to show that support by purchasing a cookbook. So this cookbook will feature my favorite PaleOMG recipes along with many new recipes you won’t be able to find on the blog. Already have some good stuff for you!!

So what I want to know is, what are YOU looking for in a paleo cookbook? What is helpful to you and what would make your life easier in a paleo cookbook? Please leave your comments below and give your ideas because I’m making this cookbook for YOU all!

ANNNNNNND, omg, yes there is more. I’m now in the first steps of creating a PaleOMG app. Let’s be real here, obviously I am not the person doing it, I know nothing about anything…except sweets, but my good friend Peter who also put my website together for me, is doing the job. He’s amazing and spectacular so I’m trusting him to create something wonderful. BUT I want and need to know what you are looking for in a paleo app. I don’t do apps, I don’t really get them. I downloaded a food porn app once, but I’ve only looked at it once when I was too hungover to get out of bed. True story. So I need to know what people who actually use apps would like to see in a PaleOMG app?

Are you mad because there isn’t a recipe? Don’t you worry, there will be plenty all week!

Congrats. I have been anxiously waiting!!! How long does it take to publish?!

Can’t wait for the cookbook! So exciting. I’m a visual learner so lots of instructional pictures help me really get a recipe. As for an app. Please make an android version! Not all of us have iPhones. 🙂

Congrats on both! I would love to see more “packable” recipes for my lunchbox (both snacks & lunch ideas),

I’m very excited that you are making an App! Some features that would be nice are:

    1. shopping list – being able to add a recipe into a shopping list would be awesome. Then you just check off stuff as you move around Whole Foods or where ever.

    2. Category vs ingredients. Sometimes I want ideas for an entree and sometimes I’m looking at my pantry and saying “what can I whip together”. So sorting by both category and being able to lookup something by selecting ingredients would be awesome.

    Thanks for asking for suggestions!

Sweet shit! Can’t wait for a cookbook! Simplicity and convenience meals are awesome- even just some italicized shit at the end saying how you eat the leftovers. As far as an app goes, I would LOVE something where you could type in 3 ingredients and it would find a recipe suggestion for me. So when I’m blankly staring in my fridge at peppers, pork chops and salsa, I could punch that in and a killer recipe would magically appear.
But…. whatever you do will be amazing, since you rock the house! You are a serious inspiration to make dietary changes fun as well as tasty as fuck! Well done you 🙂

Nut free, Nut free Nute free…. Please. Ok not the whole book, but a few dedicated recipes that use coconut flour instead of almond would be great. Other than that, CONGRATS woman, that is so exciting. If you do need a guinea pig on the nut free treats I volunteer my kids. I can kiddo test out the recipe(s) on my 1.5 and 2.5 year old. They hold no punches 🙂

So excited for your cookbook!!!! I recent discovered your website about a month or month and a half ago and shared it with everyone at CrossFit Finish First….and everyone at work haha.

I personally would like to continue to see the simple recipes you’ve done in the blog….only a few ingredients, minimal prep time etc.

1 big thing is maybe some recipes that have serving sizes for just 1 person? I have a pretty random schedule at times and try to always have tupperware available to bring but it’d be nice to have a 1 portion/serving size recipe for meals somedays 🙂

Lots and lots of pictures, easy to follow instructions for non-cooks with ingredients that are easy to find any grocery store.
