That’s my excited face.

Oh sh*t. I can’t even hold it in. Word vomit is about to happen. I’M WRITING MY FIRST COOKBOOK!!

I’m literally tearing up just thinking about this. I’ve wanted this for so long and have gone back and forth about how I would accomplish this goal. But once I was approached by Scribe Publishing, I knew it was the right fit. Not only is the Publisher a CrossFitter as well, but she’s a paleo-er who gets my sense of humor and isn’t afraid of what I have to say. She’s so awesome.

I hadn’t thought about a writing a cookbook since my recipes are free over the internet, until readers began to ask for one. Which was very cool. It’s amazing people would actually want to purchase something when they can get it all free online. So really, I’m writing this cookbook for all of you who have supported me and wanted to show that support by purchasing a cookbook. So this cookbook will feature my favorite PaleOMG recipes along with many new recipes you won’t be able to find on the blog. Already have some good stuff for you!!

So what I want to know is, what are YOU looking for in a paleo cookbook? What is helpful to you and what would make your life easier in a paleo cookbook? Please leave your comments below and give your ideas because I’m making this cookbook for YOU all!

ANNNNNNND, omg, yes there is more. I’m now in the first steps of creating a PaleOMG app. Let’s be real here, obviously I am not the person doing it, I know nothing about anything…except sweets, but my good friend Peter who also put my website together for me, is doing the job. He’s amazing and spectacular so I’m trusting him to create something wonderful. BUT I want and need to know what you are looking for in a paleo app. I don’t do apps, I don’t really get them. I downloaded a food porn app once, but I’ve only looked at it once when I was too hungover to get out of bed. True story. So I need to know what people who actually use apps would like to see in a PaleOMG app?

Are you mad because there isn’t a recipe? Don’t you worry, there will be plenty all week!

Please do not even think about making one without pictures of every recipe!!! Simple with few ingredients and can be made quickly is my favorite!!!!!! Oh and stuff you can actually find at most stores!

    Congrats Juli!!

That is so exciting! I have been following your blog for about 6 months and the best is the simplicity of many of the recipes you post. A few ingredients, simple instructions and wa-la 🙂 I would say to keep the same structure for a cookbook and I always appreciate when cookbooks use ingredients that are readily accessible to most people so that you don’t have to shop at specialty stores or amazon for crazy products!

    Thanks!

Hey, congrats Juli!!! That’s awesome!!! I love your recipes and blog and I’ll certainly be looking forward to your cookbook and app! The app would be very helpful for recipes using key ingredients (e.g. chicken, ribs, tilapia), ideas for leftovers, meals by “theme” (e.g. tex-mex, first date, comfort food after a breakup, chinese, etc). Nutritional stats would be great too. Congrats again – rock on!!

I love every recipe I have ever tried on your site!
One suggestion I have, I would also love to see snacks in your cookbook! Just like one of the other commenters had said, I need something different then just a piece of fruit and hard boiled eggs. So excited for your cookbook!!! Congrats!

I was just thinking how much I wished you had a cookbook out there. And *poof* my wish came true. Congratulations!
Here’s what I would love to see:
    1. I love lots of pictures so I know that I’m on the right track with recipes.
    2. I am at a loss for veggies/sides and I’m sick of broccoli. I mean, I love broccoli….but I would like to know some way to eat it besides steamed. Same goes with every other vegetable out there. I don’t know what to do with them.
    3. I love all of your sweet recipes and anything paleo-fied.
    4. I don’t know what the hell to do with a paleo app. But I’m excited to get yours!
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve recommended your website to people looking for paleo recipes – now I’ll have a book to recommend too! Congrats again!

OMG!! CONGRATS!! That is sooooo exciting. I can’t wait to purchase a cook book AND download the app! I was just telling the BF a couple weeks ago that I wish you had an app. I pretty much only use your blog for my paleo recipes.
My request for the app is to have an option to select items on the recipe page to add to a grocery list. Know what I mean? That would save soooo much time!
Anyway! I so happy for you!
