That’s my excited face.
Oh sh*t. I can’t even hold it in. Word vomit is about to happen. I’M WRITING MY FIRST COOKBOOK!!
I’m literally tearing up just thinking about this. I’ve wanted this for so long and have gone back and forth about how I would accomplish this goal. But once I was approached by Scribe Publishing, I knew it was the right fit. Not only is the Publisher a CrossFitter as well, but she’s a paleo-er who gets my sense of humor and isn’t afraid of what I have to say. She’s so awesome.
I hadn’t thought about a writing a cookbook since my recipes are free over the internet, until readers began to ask for one. Which was very cool. It’s amazing people would actually want to purchase something when they can get it all free online. So really, I’m writing this cookbook for all of you who have supported me and wanted to show that support by purchasing a cookbook. So this cookbook will feature my favorite PaleOMG recipes along with many new recipes you won’t be able to find on the blog. Already have some good stuff for you!!
So what I want to know is, what are YOU looking for in a paleo cookbook? What is helpful to you and what would make your life easier in a paleo cookbook? Please leave your comments below and give your ideas because I’m making this cookbook for YOU all!
ANNNNNNND, omg, yes there is more. I’m now in the first steps of creating a PaleOMG app. Let’s be real here, obviously I am not the person doing it, I know nothing about anything…except sweets, but my good friend Peter who also put my website together for me, is doing the job. He’s amazing and spectacular so I’m trusting him to create something wonderful. BUT I want and need to know what you are looking for in a paleo app. I don’t do apps, I don’t really get them. I downloaded a food porn app once, but I’ve only looked at it once when I was too hungover to get out of bed. True story. So I need to know what people who actually use apps would like to see in a PaleOMG app?
Are you mad because there isn’t a recipe? Don’t you worry, there will be plenty all week!

Love it! Can’t wait to buy one. I really enjoy the slow cooker recipes, as well as some ideas for unique salads and side dishes. Any way to include rough nutritional info? Keep your book like your website and it’s going to rock.
Congratulations!!! I am a nurse and my schedule is crazy and I don’t get to break very often. I would love snacks that I could keep in my locker, that wouldn’t need to be refrigerated. Thank you!!!
I would seriously use that app EVERYDAY. It’ll be easier than dragging my computer from upstairs to the kitchen everyday or wasting paper on printing recipes!
Congratulations. . . that is exciting news! My shelf is filling up with Paleo cookbooks and I’ll be thrilled to add another!
I love slow cooker recipes. We also love snacks & treats. . . and BREAKFAST. My kids are really having a hard time with meat and veggies (or eggs and veggies). . . I get “this isn’t breakfast!” comments regularly.
I’d love to see ideas for feeding larger groups. We are a family of seven (and hopefully growing). . . many Paleo inspired meals aren’t cost effective for us on a daily basis.
congrats how exciting! we hope to one day have a cookbook!
will you be sharing some of your fitness tips in the book too?
I found your site when looking for a paleo gravy and fell in LOVE with you and your recipes!! What makes them so great is that I don’t even think that I’m eating a “paleo” meal, I’m just eating great food! And the desserts! I can’t say enough about your desserts! As a sugarholic, this has been the hardest part of being paleo and YOU have made it 100% easier! I CRAVE your cheesecake! However, I have to say that the BEST thing about your recipes is that my pasta, rice & bread loving child enjoys your recipes too! He no longer asks for carbs for dinner.
Please, more dinner and crockpot recipes along with lunch ideas.
Looking forward to both your cookbook and App!!
EEEEKKKKKKKKK, Congrats!!! Totally look forward to the cookbook AND the app! Your blog is my GO TO for my Paleo recipes!!
You’ve already gotten a lot of comments, so I didn’t read them all, and you may not be able to either, but if you get to mine.. these are my suggestions on the app, which may also be incorporated into the format of the cookbook (minus the searching option of course) …???
APP: I’d like to be able to input the main ingredients I have on hand (chicken, bacon, sweet potatoes), and find recipes based on what I have on hand… It would also be cool to have maybe a weekly meal plan.. maybe a button that allows us to “add to week’s meal plan” … Then from there maybe a button that would allow you to email the meal plan in a grocery list format?! Maybe I’m asking for too much here, but just some ideas … Of corse there would need to be a “favorites” button/list/folder. A “share” option so we can send our fave recipe to all our peeps…. Maybe a “freezes well”, or “finger lickin leftovers” filter… Dare I go on??? 🙂
CONGRATS!!!!! This is so deserved, you are original and real and not at all boring to read. I can’t wait to purchase your book and tell everyone I know to do the same.
I didn’t read every comment that had already been posted so some of these suggestions may be redundant…oopsie-pansies (why should daisies get all the shout outs?)
I would be amped for some “kid” geared items, chicken fingers, Mac an cheese, crap like that. Also maybe a section of “quick meals” so the rushed nights it’s easy to find a paleo option. Also I really like “quotation marks” so use a lot of those. Boom. Thank you for being awesome too.
Please include some crock pot recipes!!
Awesome! Can’t wait for your book. Love your recipes and wit.
