Oh no I didn’t. No I did not just post one of the most delicious things in the world. Ok, it’s not THE MOST delicious thing in the world, but it takes top 100 for sure. I mean, it has triple chocolate in the title. That means it has to be good.

This is one of those recipes that I will get a ton of sh*t for. Because it’s not “strict” paleo. It has sugar in it. It’s naughty. It’s going against why we even eat paleo. Blah blah blah. I get it. I do. We all have sought out paleo to either feel better, look better. poop better, or just because everyone else is doing it. And paleo tells us sugar is bad. And if you’ve heard me talk about sugar before, you know that we have a very dysfunctional relationship. I hate it and don’t even look at it for months, then have a little bit and feel like balls.

BUT if we can’t ever have delicious treats while eating paleo, how is it sustainable? How are we suppose to never touch another cookie, another muffins, another chocolate truffle again? That’s why I make paleo treats. So paleo can be sustainable and you can enjoy it in every way. I ate 1/2 of one of these truffles and gave the rest away. They didn’t make me sick, they didn’t make me depressed, and they didn’t make me feel liked I weighed 3x what I weighed yesterday. Always a plus. But that’s what is important to remember about treats, they are TREATS. Paleo or not paleo. It’s so easy to go psycho about paleo treats and think that we can eat the whole thing and not feel guilty about it. Believe me, I would know. And wish that were the case. But we gotta learn to keep our sh*t on lock and not eat the whole batch. I know, it sucks.

I say all this because I recently came across a forum that was filled with some paleomg haterzzzzz. That’s how they spelled it. I should let them know it’s properly spelled haters. Anywho, these people obviously hatezzzzz paleomg. Understandable. I’m completely annoying, my photography sucks, and based on what they think, I suffer from disordered eating by not eating enough or I stuff my face constantly with chocolate covered walnuts, donuts, or paleo treats. Which one is it? If you honestly think I starve myself, you’re high. If you think I stuff my face sometimes, you’re totally right. No chocolate covered nuts though. They jack my sh*t up. I just wanted to clear the air though, if you’re a paleomg haterzzzz, I feel your pain. I live with the b*tch. But thanks for still supporting my blog. Love you too.

  1. These guys are awesome. No bake. WINNING.
  2. Place a small skillet over medium heat and add your tablespoon of coconut oil.
  3. Toss in your pumpkin seeds to begin to roast, moving them around often, being sure not to burn them.

  5. Add to food processor and pulse until they are completely broken down into a pumpkin seed meal.
  6. Then add your dates and puree.

Haterzzzzzz? Really? Are they 12. Come on!

I (and many many others) LOVE your site. I mean LOVE LOVE LOVE. I would have never found two of the best things in my life if I hadn’t stumbled on your site. Paleo and crossfit. Epic.

There’s so much I could say about a haterzzz blog… For real people? Less hating, more gratitude. JB, your wonderful paleo treats recipes have at least taught me how to subsitute crap ingredients with healthier choices to make the occasional treat possbile without wanting to beat myself up for it. Thank you very much for that! I’m not perfect but I try hard to eat healthy. I like a treat every now and then. BFD. So gald you you do too! Love your blog and recipes. Don’t let those stupid POS haters get to you.

    Juli-
Dude, you are seriously the object of my food stalker-ization (is that even a word? I totally made it up, feel free to use it!)
I CANNOT wait for a new post from you, I seriously (no lie) make the new recipe you post ASAP. Who do these people that have a haterzzzz group against you, obviously they don’t appreciate you the way we all do!! You need to say “Don’t hate me cause you ain’t me…..mmmmmmkkkkkkkay???” (I hate the word “ain’t” but it’s kinda appropriate here and fun to say!!)
anywho, love love love you keep up the PURE AWESOMENESS!!

WOW those look amazing. I don’t have a food processor so I’ve been trying to get by with my blender. Hilarious.

Let people hate. However, you are one of the main reasons I continue to eat this way. I don’t have to live off of spinach/chicken salads. I can enjoy my food. Keep cooking and creating.

    F*ck the haters!

  5. Michelle says:

Those people are clearly dumb. They don’t even know how to spell haters; therefore their opinions don’t count. Plus, can’t they find something better to do? Go outside, maybe get some vitamin D and become happier people who don’t need to write a blog with a bunch of unnecessary z’s in it. Obviously, they’re just jealous. And dumb. Yes I said it twice. That’s how dumb they are.

I don’t get what’s not paleo about them. You made it sound as if sugar was a actual ingredient. But all this stuff looks legal to me. I’ll have to search your site for a list of paleo foods. If I remember from reading everyday paleo, all this stuff fits.

    1. juli says:

it totally is paleo! honey just still is sugar 🙂

  7. Jess says:

Hi Juli! I have been following your blog for about a year now, since I first tried paleo. I just want to say that you are truly an inspiration. I love that you keep it real and are honest about the things you struggle with, whatever they may be. It helps me so much to keep things in perspective and remember that I am not the only one thinking about chocolate! Thank you for sharing your experiences as well as your ridiculously delicious creations. I do not think I could stick with paleo if I did not have your blog to follow!
Sorry if that is rambley… I am done now. After another giant THANK YOU!!!

  8. Alex says:

Just out of curiosity…what size food processor do you use? I found a really good deal on a 9-cup capacity but I was worried about it being too small.

    1. juli says:

      I use a 9 cup!

  9. Michelle says:

I don’t know who those haters are, but they’re idiots! I just started reading your blog in the last few weeks, but I gotta say, I love you! I love your realistic approach to paleo and although I’m not completely paleo yet (just 1 week into the 21 day sugar detox), reading your blog makes me think that I can actually do it at some point. And not hate life.
Also, completely separate from the food aspect, you make me feel better about being a single crossfit chick.
Moral of the story: you’re awesome. Thanks for doing what you do!! xoxo

Who has the time to devote to writing a whole anything devoted to bashing someone? If you have that kind of time on your hands I have some crap that you can do for me because I seem to never have enough to get it all done. I know going in that a recipe may not be 100% perfect paleo…but then again…neither am I. I have to listen to my body and eat in the way that fuels my body my WOD’s etc. Not just do something because someone else told me to. Nutrition is individual.

You have kept me fed on many a night! These look absolutely awesome!! And I already have the ingredients…bonus!
