Oh no I didn’t. No I did not just post one of the most delicious things in the world. Ok, it’s not THE MOST delicious thing in the world, but it takes top 100 for sure. I mean, it has triple chocolate in the title. That means it has to be good.
This is one of those recipes that I will get a ton of sh*t for. Because it’s not “strict” paleo. It has sugar in it. It’s naughty. It’s going against why we even eat paleo. Blah blah blah. I get it. I do. We all have sought out paleo to either feel better, look better. poop better, or just because everyone else is doing it. And paleo tells us sugar is bad. And if you’ve heard me talk about sugar before, you know that we have a very dysfunctional relationship. I hate it and don’t even look at it for months, then have a little bit and feel like balls.
BUT if we can’t ever have delicious treats while eating paleo, how is it sustainable? How are we suppose to never touch another cookie, another muffins, another chocolate truffle again? That’s why I make paleo treats. So paleo can be sustainable and you can enjoy it in every way. I ate 1/2 of one of these truffles and gave the rest away. They didn’t make me sick, they didn’t make me depressed, and they didn’t make me feel liked I weighed 3x what I weighed yesterday. Always a plus. But that’s what is important to remember about treats, they are TREATS. Paleo or not paleo. It’s so easy to go psycho about paleo treats and think that we can eat the whole thing and not feel guilty about it. Believe me, I would know. And wish that were the case. But we gotta learn to keep our sh*t on lock and not eat the whole batch. I know, it sucks.
I say all this because I recently came across a forum that was filled with some paleomg haterzzzzz. That’s how they spelled it. I should let them know it’s properly spelled haters. Anywho, these people obviously hatezzzzz paleomg. Understandable. I’m completely annoying, my photography sucks, and based on what they think, I suffer from disordered eating by not eating enough or I stuff my face constantly with chocolate covered walnuts, donuts, or paleo treats. Which one is it? If you honestly think I starve myself, you’re high. If you think I stuff my face sometimes, you’re totally right. No chocolate covered nuts though. They jack my sh*t up. I just wanted to clear the air though, if you’re a paleomg haterzzzz, I feel your pain. I live with the b*tch. But thanks for still supporting my blog. Love you too.

A life without chocolate is a sad sad life. Paleo is not a religion and honey + chocolate is delicious they need to lighten up.
I LOVE your blog and look forward to reading it everyday. Thanks Juli and I can’t wait for the book!
This looks soooo good!! I’m on Day 26 of my 30 Day Challenge and trying to decide which Paleo Treat to have when I finish!!!!! The pumpkin treat you posted about a week ago looks to die for, but this may be it!!!!!!!!!! Either that or I figured I’d mash a banana some almond butter and melt some dark chocolate on it and eat it all!!!!! 🙂 Keep posting your delicious recipes!!! I’ve made so many and they all are AWESOME!!!!!!
ALSO…“If you permit your thoughts to dwell on evil you yourself will become ugly. Look only for the good in everything so you absorb the quality of beauty.” ― Paramahansa Yogananda
In other words…these haterzzz are realllllllly ugly people.
Wait until the haters buy your cookbook so they can make fun of it on their little negativity forum! Mean people are dumb.
That’s so weird. Agree with someone above? How exactly does Hate come into the conversation when we’re talking about recipes? So dramatic.
Those people have way too much time on their hands. And obviously flunked second grade spelling. My mantra is “It is a tendency for those who haven’t to look down on those who have.” I have a 15g or less sugar a day next week so I just might have to make these today…and eat them all. By the way, long ago you recommended Snooze as a place to eat while I was in Denver…what I had was SO not paleo but the OMG French Toast was foodgasmic. Thanks!
Some people have nothing better to do than trash on other people. They’re just jealous that you’re “Amazeballs”, they didn’t come up with the idea first, and you’re good at what you do. Oh, and your abs…they’re jealous of those too. Wait, that’s me.
My food processor is “indisposed” so I’ll have to file this one away for now but it looks beautiful. Bet it tasts like “angels in your mouth!”-my sons description of something really good! LoL
Wow. Just read some of the haterzzzzzzzz’ comments. Jealous much? The ones that say there isn’t any food on your site for a serious crossfitter….have they actually looked through your recipes or did they just tune in this week? I’m confused. And annoyed at these people. Oh well. They act tlike you’re force feeding us all sweets all the time. These are just fun recipes for our “arsenal” when we feel like a little sweetness. Keep it up chica!
In my opinion if it’s not brown sugar or white sugar it doesn’t entirely count as ‘bad’ sugar, I saw neither of those ingredients in the recipe so this indulgence is still better than a sugar filled truffle you would get in the store. Looks amazing and ignore those haterzzzzz, they’re probably stuffing their face with Krispy Kreme as they type.
JULI!!! i love you…1) we need a countdown timer to april
2) haterz gone hate….3) about to have chicken bacon alfredo for the second time this week 4) competition weekend for the hubs and we’re packing pumpkin granola…..i’m all like: ooh, taste this!!! with my friends but then i’m “don’t take so much!”
