Hello luva!! How is going? What’s new? Whatcha been up to? I’m hoping your spring is sunny and warm because ours is not right now and I’m sure ready for sunshine. And a tan. Don’t tell me that being tan is bad for you and skin cancer, etc. etc. I understand all of it. That doesn’t mean I don’t want a nice bronze. I just don’t want to be see through at this point, it’s not a good look for me. But moving on.
If you didn’t read Fridays post, I’ll update you! We bought our first home and have been moving on in! Moving is the worst. The worst of all things. And now we have furniture that doesn’t go with our house. So we need new furniture but spending money after you’ve bought a house is frightening. Our tv is on the floor right now, which we are not using yet since we don’t have cable, piles of trash bags filled with random crap our everywhere, Jackson is LOVING his backyard even with the dandelions taking over our life. BUT the kitchen looks awesome and everything is in it’s proper place. I’m ready to cook for you guys AND SO PUMPED ABOUT IT ALL! The living room has really good light so it may be time to actually start caring about my photography more. Yay to life!
But back to working out! If you haven’t read a post in a while, you may notice some of the FIT class below that I’ve been taking. I’ve been loving them. Sometimes I do FIT more, sometimes I do CrossFit more. There is no rhyme or reason, I just do whatever I feel like. Our FIT classes at CrossFit Broadway are cardio based, circuit training classes that is light weights and TRX. It’s nice to have something else that I enjoy other than just CrossFit. If you are in Denver, feel free to come into the gym a try a class out for free! Here are some of the workouts I did this week. If you want some extra fun and tough on the bootie, try out Fridays. Monday – CrossFit Class
Power Clean: 14 mins to find a new 1 Rep Max – I got 150#
12 min Clock
800m Run, then AMRAP Of;
12 Thrusters (115/75) – I used 55#
12 Toes To Bar
I got 4 rounds + 3 thrusters
Tuesday – FIT Class
400m run
100 ab mat sit ups
300m run
80 hand release push ups
200m run
70 dead bugs
100m run
60 TRX dips
200m run
50 russian twists with wall balls
300m run
40 TRX bicep curls
400m run
Wednesday – Rest day/Closing on the house day
Thursday – Moving Day. Ew.
Friday –
WORKOUT
Deadlifts: (12 mins)
2-3 Warm up sets then:
Set 1 – Max Reps @ 70% of 2 rep max – I got 14 reps
Set 2 – Max Reps @ 65% – I got 21 reps
Set 3 – Max Reps @ 60% – I got 24 reps
2 min rest between sets.
You should be trying to better the reps each set!
Alternating Tabata (for quality – no scores taken): 6 sets of each. (6 mins)
L-Sits (I did hollow rocks because L-sits hurt my chest)
Pistols (went to a low box)
21-15-9 reps For Time Of:
Box Jumps (30/24)
Front Rack Lunges (135/95)
75 Double Unders After Each round
I finished in 8:45
Saturday – CrossFit Class
25 Minute AMRAP:
300m run
5 strict handstand push ups
10 kipping pull ups
15 goblet squats (70/55)
I got 6 rounds + 5 strict handstand push ups
Lol – on a closer read, you’ll see it says “doesn’t go WITH the house” – meaning the style doesn’t suit. Not that it physically doesn’t fit.

I visited Crossfit Broadway last Monday…was bummed we missed you (went to the noon class) but Jason was AWESOME! Power Cleaned 145 (tied a PR) and got 4 rounds plus 1 Thruster…you barely got me! 😉 Hopefully I will catch you the next time I visit Denver!
