Before I let you go so you can crush some workouts this week, I want to remind you of what I talked about last week. REST! And that’s because last week included 4 rest days for me because of work and my face treatment. I rarely ever take 4 rest days but I have felt AMAZING after I did this past week. And it was such a great reminder of how much our bodies love to recover. Not only do I feel better and I’ve slept better, but my body has taken on more of the shape that I want to see from working out. Rest is just as important as the hard work you put into it. What I Ate in a Day:
After waking up, I started my day off how I always do – with coffee. I made a hot cup of coffee with a tablespoon or so of heavy cream, some liquid stevia and collagen.
Once I got some work on Sunday done, taking some photos around town for a few blog posts, I stopped in Just Be Kitchen with my sister in law. We first split a chocolate macaroon, then I order the butternut bullet coffee.
For brunch, I order the pork green chile that comes with a almond flour tortilla on the side. I finished the pork green chile but not the tortilla.
A few hours later while I worked on my computer throughout the afternoon, I had a snack of prosciutto wrapped around smoked salmon with some lactose free cream cheese. Then I had a handful of Siete Foods tortilla chips.
Earlier in the day, I picked up a pabellon arepa at Quiero Arepas for some photos so I heated one back up to eat for an early dinner.
Around 7pm, I had a handful of butter toffee fuel snacks and a little more Siete Foods tortilla chips!

Rest is definitely something I need to work on… Do you eat the same on rest days or do you tend to eat less carb or less in general?
yeah i eat the exact same or more. i find myself eating more on rest days just because i have more time on my hands lol
Shit, the Saturday workout looks tough. Nice job finishing in 25 mins. I love starting the weekend with a tough workout. Then enjoy great food and some R&R afterwards. Gives me a high.

Juli, I love it when you include the What I Ate section! Sometimes there’s just the WW without it, but the day of eats is the best part, haha! It would be great if you included the eats in every WW post (although I totally get if it’s time-consuming/annoying to do). Just a bit of feedback from an overly nosy fan and foodie.

Juli – this is my first comment so I’m sure this is in the wrong place!
I know from your pod that you started working out less after getting some inflammation and saw huge difference. I was wondering if you had some advice from the reverse side. I haven’t worked out, really, since August. I was working out a lot and was trying to eat healthy, or at least what I through was healthy, and didn’t see any difference. So I focused 100% on my diet going completely strict Paleo and got to a point where I love with my body.
Now, I’m wanting to introduce working out back in my life but I find myself freaking out about food. I’m hungrier and reach for the bad stuff then I get all worked up about it and just feel like shit about myself. And I find myself thinking “I worked out I can eat whatever I want.”
Any tips for staying healthy with my mind? Should I just introduce working out slowly into my routine?
you gotta erase that out of your mind. it just doesn’t work that way. it’s easy to talk yourself into thinking you can eat whatever if you work out, but that’s just not the case. reminding yourself that it’s not the case is really all you can do to remind yourself that it’s not the truth. and i definitely recommend introducing exercise into your routine. but remember that food is energy so you’re feeding it energy so you can have a great workout and thrive throughout your day!
Juli – I think it is great that you have these awesome looking leggings but why doesn’t it have larger sizes? I would have loved to buy a pair.
Hi, I know on your recent post you mentioned you were working on butt exercises to work on this area. I think you have an awesome butt. I love your blog food blogs , exercises, and you’re so inspirational. I just recently moved from crossfit bootcamp to crossfit, and I was a little intimidated but now I’m loving it. It feels so empowering to work out next to such strong ladies, and I don’t feel self conscious anymore because they started in the beginning just like I am doing.
