I love cashews. I love paprika. I love sweet things. I love all of them combined. So that what I did it. These are like eating toffee covered nuts. Beauty.

I really wish I didn’t have an allergy to nuts. I had to get these out of the house right away because I couldn’t stop eating them. Stupid allergy. But if you are wanting to feed your super bowl guests well, this would be a perfect recipe. They will be snacking for days. Or minutes.

Ok, so I’ve been trying to get into Breaking Bad because everyone, and I mean EVERYONE talks about how addicting it is. But I’ve watched the first season and I’m still a bit unsure. It’s pretty depressing, guys. I mean, something is always going wrong, multiple times a day. How can that many things go wrong in one day? It’s just not realistic.

Anywho, I’ve started to pack up for my move to a new apartment. I’m finding things I forgot I even had. Like shoes. How do you forget about shoes? Well, my current closet is the size of 30 pack of beer. That may not make sense to you, but it does to me. It’s small. So things get lost easily in there. Shoes, shirts, headbands, socks. Damn socks.

I’m also finding things I haven’t used in a while. Even though they are in plain sight, I kind of forget about them because they have collected so much dust. I hate dusting. Something I need to work on for my new place. Now that I’ve noticed it, I think I want to make ice cream soon. Yeah. I definitely do.

  2. Angela says:

PS…did you use regular honey or raw honey??

    1. juli says:

It’s ironic that you mentioned breaking bad and then gave us this recipe because i made this tonight and it was like crack!!! Cashew crack. We can’t stop eating it is soooo good. Your recipes are seriously the best.

BB season 1 sets up the rest of the series. Yes, it is dark and Walter is down on his luck. As things go wrong and right, he changes. For myself, the beauty of the show is how a good man, harshly treated, makes the wrong decisions for what he believes are good intentions. It’s like watching Anakin turn into Vader over 5 seasons.

But yes, you have to get through season 1. It all ties into season 1, especially the final 6 epic episodes.

    Thanks for the recipes!!!

Hang in there with Breaking Bad. The unfortunate things don’t stop happening but it gets pretty bad A. I’ve always been inclined to overeat nuts and this is not going to help!

Can’t wait to try this, but what is coconut sugar?

    1. michelle says:

I found it walmart of all places, only 4 sugars and all natural

I was the same way about Breaking Bad and ya know what? I stopped watching. Nbd, just didn’t get the hype and didn’t feel like wasting time on it.
…so I started Downton Abbey instead. Which is baaascially like a Victorian version of those trashy, backstabbing reality tv shows I hate to love.
(…and if all else fails, there’s always Sherlock!)

I think you’re looking at Breaking Bad from the wrong perspective. Think about it. When you’re a biology teacher who cooks meth on the side, what are the odds that multiple things DON’T go wrong in a day?

Actually, just apply the same model to anything, really. X + Meth is probably a bad idea. Could you imagine all the stuff that could go wrong if you had to keep your tasty cashew and meth recipes straight, all at the same time… Craziness would ensue, I assure you.

I think the only reason why I DIDN’T stop watching Breaking Bad in the first season is because we had it on NetFlix DVD, and I was morbidly curious just how bad could it really get??? After that, we started watching it as it came on TV, and the effects weren’t as bad; you had at least a whole week to forget the impossibilities. I will say, though, by the time we got to the last two seasons, I was only watching it as a background thing (since my partner wanted to watch it…he thought it was fabulous). Got too violent for me…I know that’s the point, mild-mannered teacher driven by something and how he changes, but I enjoyed the character Jesse far more because he went the other way. Sorry if spoilers, trying not to!

I don’t know what Coconut sugar is, so can you use regular sugar? I know it wouldn’t make it totally Paleo, but I don’t follow paleo any way. 🙂

    1. juli says:

      absolutely!
