Super Bowl Snacks: Bacon Jalapeño Deviled Eggs
Super bowl snacks time!! All week I will be bringing you paleo/primal super bowl snacks that you can bring to your friends house or make for your guests. The Super Bowl Sunday is coming up. And people everywhere will be stuffing their face with lots of food. Thankfully, you won’t be missing out. HOOOOORAAAAYYYY.
Just so you know, I want to shrink my body down to lego size and make a bath tub out of these eggs. A BATH TUB. The jalapeños may burn in awkward places, but I wouldn’t care. The deviled eggs were probably my favorite ever. And that’s big because that was pretty much the only thing I knew how to make growing up. But these are the best. Another proof that paleo foods are the best tasting. Just a fact.
Some things I find really strange. Seeing what radio hosts actually look like is one of them. It ruins the illusion. I’m not sure what illusion that is, but there definitely is one. Another thing that is incredibly strange: how many times LL Cool J licks his lips while hosting the Grammy’s. What in the hell is that about?? I think I blogged about it last year after the worst Grammy’s known to man. Last year was totally terrible. This year was much better. I learned that Kevin Hart is 5’2″. Never knew he was that small. I also learned that Paul McCartney has an odd mullet. And that Beyonce has quite nice rear end. But weird hair. So many things.
My god, I love John Legend.
Could Pink be anymore amazing? I seriously, for real, like totally want to see her in concert. She sings while upside down while spinning while dressed in a leotard halfway up her ass!! I wouldn’t mind being her for a day. I want a new exercise routine. Hers. I wish she was performing in Vegas while I was there. Britney Spears just isn’t really cutting it for me. Sorry, Brit.
Anywho, enough about the Grammy’s. Let’s talk about paleo snacks. I talk about Steve’s Paleo Goods all.the.time. I pack them while traveling, keep them in my car for when I become hangry (hungry and angry) and just have them lying all around the house when snack freak outs occur. Steve has been so lovely and kind to help all you guys get some Steve’s snacks to your door! If you use the discount code “PaleOMG2014” at checkout, you will receive 10% off your order!! PrintBacon Jalapeño Deviled Eggs
- Yield: 6 1x
Ingredients
- 6 eggs
- 2 pieces of cooked bacon, finely chopped (leave some pieces behind for garnishing)
- 1/4 cup 30 second mayo or Primal Kitchen mayo
- 1 tablespoon minced jalapeño (leave some pieces behind for garnishing)
- 1/8 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/8–1/4 teaspoon salt (depending how salty the mayo is)

- Once eggs have cooled, cut eggs in half. Scoop out the yolks, place the yolks in a bowl and smash with a fork.
- Add in mayo and mix well until mixture is smooth. Then add jalapeño, bacon pieces, smoked paprika and salt and mix well.
- Place the yolk mixture into a small ziploc plastic bag, cut off the end and squeeze mixture into egg white halves. Garnish with leftover bacon and jalapeño.

Juli, totally go see PINK if you have a chance. I saw her in Toronto in 2013 and it was probably one of the best concerts I have been to! Only $60 for the tickets and they were pretty good seats. She sounds amazing.
How does your egg look so perfect? Whenever I make deviled eggs its never so evenly proportioned, that sounds weird but its like yolk sits heavy in some parts… ANYWAY. Beautiful, can’t wait to try, now to stop procrastinating and just purchase an immersion blender. thanks for the recipe!
I used a plastic bag to pipe the yolks into the egg white 🙂
LOL….left over bacon…….when does that happen?

Weirdest/funniest thing I’ve read this year so far. It’s gonna be a hard one to top. hahaha
I have made 3 of your recipes in the past 2 days and have to say in love!! Only one issue with the lemon raspberry pancakes mine came out runny. which honey goes in which, does it matter? I put the regular honey in with the raspberries and the raw honey in the mix?

it doesn’t matter
Thanks so much for the coupon code! I’ve been wanting to buy from Steve’s Paleo Goods for a while, and that was just the push I needed. Just bought the seasonal sampler, can’t wait for it to arrive!
Hey Julie,
Do you know any websites that ship paleo food to Canada without me having to re-mortgage my house for shipping fees?? I really wanted the sampler pack from Steve’s paleo goods (with your discount was only $34) but it cost $42 in shipping!! Boohoo…I’m from a very small town and I can’t find real paleo snacks anywhere so I’m willing to buy online, but can’t afford such huge shipping costs.
By the way, I LOVE deviled eggs, so I can’t wait to try this recipe…
I never liked deviled eggs growing up – but now I love them and can’t wait to make this version! I also heard (but never remember to try) that if you turn the eggs upside down in the carton the night before you boil them, the yolk will be in the complete center of the white.
Yum, soooo making these for Superbowl. Btw, P!nk is AMAZING; I saw her in concert in November, and it was way more than a concert: it was like a show. She is an amazing performer and you should definately go see her if you ever can!
so need to make these next time we are home as our dad loves deviled eggs!!

Looks great, your link for the 30 second mayo went to the buffalo chicken pasta. Do you have a link to that mayo?
Thanks!
there is a link for the 30 second mayo in the ingredient list. it will take you to a recipe with mayo
The 30 second mayo recipe is included within the buffalo chicken pasta recipe….
It is the right link, just scroll down the page to find it
thank you Stacey. I asked multiple friends to check the link too and they said it was working. thanks for explaining more in depth
Yeah, Thanks! I got a little excited prematurely, and failed to actually read the buffalo chicken recipe.
Little egg boats of firey protein … love it!
Absolutely making these little bad boys!
As Justin already tried to explain…your link to 30 second mayo in your ingredients list DOES NOT WORK. I think you misunderstood his question. Do you have the correct link plz?
excuse me, Scott. YES IT DOES. I’ve tried it on 4 different computers and 2 phones. So you can stop yelling, thank you.
This, right her, just made my day! Hahaha!
Also, I am the same way about radio hosts and feeling awkward when I realize what they really look like.
That was awesome. A little entertainment before clocking back in from lunch.. Oh, and the deviled eggs look pretty good too.
I think people get really confused when something isn’t spelled out in big blinky letters right up front and they may have to use some reading comprehension skills…which is reason 374 why I can’t be a blogger. Seriously, just reading the comments make me want to smack someone upside their head and it’s not even directed toward me!
I can eat all of 1 ingredient in this recipe (and most of the others coming lately), but I still am a faithful blog-stalker 🙂 Looks awesome and I may make it for others who don’t have my ridiculous problems!
OH. MY. GOD……
These are the BEST freakin eggs I’ve ever eaten, and I consider myself a deviled egg expert!! I’ve tried so many of your recipes from your site and you outshine the rest, My Love! I think you’re a doll and if you ever make it to Houston, I’d love to buy you a drink or ten!! Xoxo
(As I’m spell checking this, I realize I might’ve come off a tad gay. I’m not btw, not that there’s anything wrong with that…)
yayyyy!! loved hearing that!! glad you liked them as much as i did!
Looks delish. The link worked for me 🙂
PINK is a MUST SEE! My all time favorite concert ever! I went to see her last February and it was an amazing, unbelievable and unforgettable show! She’s not a singer… she’s an all around entertainer! I read that Cirque du Soleil commented that she has a job with them in Las Vegas anytime she decides to join them! There just aren’t enough adjectives to adequately describe her and her show! oxoxo <3 <3 <3
If this has already been asked I didn’t see it: did you use raw jalapeños or pickled?
Raw
I made these today for a super bowl party and they were awesome! I added some hot sauce to them and everyone loved them. Thanks for the great recipe!

I made these today for Super Bowl and they were a hit! Yummy! 🙂 My only concern was the raw egg in the mayo recipe? Also, I didn’t have an immersion blender, sink just whisked. And I used extra virgin olive oil since I didn’t have avocado oil and it worked fine. I feel like my mixture came out a little runny for my liking, so I may try less oil in my mayo mixture next time. Thanks for the great recipe!
Omg made these eggs yerterday and they where SO GOOD.
I had no idea it would be that delicious but they surprised me hard! Supereasy as well, I ate them for breakfast and doubled the recipe so they would last longer. And I had no jalapeño so I put fresh chili in instead, and garnished with some green onion. Amazing, thanks!!
AMAZING.
