I have no clue why I didn’t post this earlier. I mentioned a while back, like a long while back, about my career portfolio I did with The Every Girl, but I never shared much information about it! I’m dumb. And I wouldn’t want you to miss out on a no bake dessert, because let’s be real, baking still sucks in this heat. What made me think of this is that last year I did a photo shoot with Andrea Flanagan for this post and absolutely loved her. So I’m working with her again this year, meaning tomorrow, to do a little photo shoot for a little project I’m working on! I can’t wait. Based on last years experience, I’m going to need to tease the sh*t out of my hair. Nobody likes a flat head.

I’m even getting my nails done for this photo shoot. So fancy.

I’m so excited! You know why? Because I get to have a real vacation soon! No work, no computer, no phone, no nothing. You know what that means!! LAKE POWELL! The first year I went to Lake Powell, it was the greatest experience of my life, second year it kind of sucked because it rained the whole time and there were a couple of sketch balls on the trip, so I think the third time is going to be the best. I can just feel it. I really like being in touch with the world via my phone, but sometimes you just gotta get away. AND THEN I will be heading to Pittsburgh to visit some friends, Bill and Hayley of Primal Palate to do some fun stuff and eat good food. It’s going to be just wonderful. I haven’t been able to vacation much with The Paleo Kitchen book tour going on throughout the summer, so this will be so great. Last year I was lucky enough to get to go to the Dominican Republic AND Mexico within the same month, so I definitely need some water time to make up for the lack this summer. Even if it’s just a lake.

Moving on. Have you guys ever watched the show Hard Knocks? As you may know by now, I HATE sports. I go to baseball games because I’m always promised a vodka soda and a baked potato topped with pulled pork. But other than that, I want nothing to do with sports. But since my boyfriend and I now live together, sports and sports shows are on A LOT more than I would like. But I love him and I have work to do, so I just ignore what’s happening on the tv. BUT, the other night he put on the show Hard Knocks and I kind of got into it. It’s kind of a reality show for football. Sports are way more interesting when you get to hear the sh*t they are talking to each other or how much the coaches are cussing. Wayyyyy more fun. I pretty much want to watch the full season now. But other than that, I still hate sports unless it includes pulled pork and lots of F words.

And don’t forget!! Today is the last day to sign up for the Stitch and Stone Giveaway!! Enter for a chance to win a necklace and a pair of earrings from Stitch and Stone. AND be sure to check out my Fashion Friday post tomorrow for a special treat from Inspyre Boutique and everything I found in store for their new season!

I bolded so many words in this post. I apologize for all of my yelling.

You should def watch the league, It’s on Netflix. It is so hilarious it has to do with fantasy football but it is def a must watch show.

Could I use sunflower seed butter in place of almond butter or is it to creamy?

I got my Kelly Moore Esther bag in the mail yesterday! I love it. My husband is jealous, he’s a photographer. He’s even jealous of the lovely green color. I’m not a photographer, but you sold me on how functional it is, and I will be carrying my MacBook Air in it!
Football is fun to watch. I never envisioned myself being the kind to yell at the TV and cuss out the refs, but I do that now. LOL.

I got some sad news today. I came here to see if that would help cheer me up. Chocolate chip cream bars help, but not as much as the word “sketchballs” does.

Hey Juli! Love the post, but your “first year” hyperlink brought me to your Breakfast Meatza recipe, not to your post about your first Lake Powell trip!

    1. juli says:

Did you read the post? It is about lake Powell, it just includes the recipe too
