If you’re reading this right now, you may be quarantined at home. The corona virus has begun to spread and the world has begun taking all precautions to keep people safe and to stop the spread as much as possible. It’s a weird, crazy, strange time. And because of this strange time, many of you are stuck at home, caring for your children since they are not able to go to school at the moment. And even though I know nothing about children or caring for them, I know that they need food. And sneaking protein into any treat is always a good thing. I also wanted to create a recipe with ingredients you may already have in your pantry since most grocery stores are pretty bare at this point. Since you’re probably entertaining your children 24 hours a day right now, hopefully making this recipe together takes the stress off of you for a few minutes and creates a fun and delicious project you can make together!

PaleOMG No-Bake Protein Brownies

I don’t know how you’re feeling about it, but I HATE 2020 SO DAMN MUCH!! What is going on right now? First Jackson had to go into emergency surgery, then he had complications and almost died, then we had to move him to a new vet hospital, then my friend was hit by a car while I was walking next to her, and so on, and so on. 2020 is not our year, people. So how do we turn this around? I’m trying to make people’s lives a little easier with the free workouts I’m sharing on my instagram and blog, then I’ll also be picking up food from my favorite small local restaurants to help them stay afloat during this sh*tstorm. Then what else? How else can we bring joy to people and make the mother nature happy again?

PaleOMG No-Bake Protein Brownies

As we think up some ideas together, let’s talk about what you have planned during your quarantine? I’m planning to work out daily, work as usual, create new recipes for my ebook that will launch in January, then I plan to watch A LOT of tv. Because I love a good show. Obviously I’ll be binge watching The Office while I cook because that’s the best, most comforting background noise in the world. Then we just started watching Hunters on Amazon Prime and I’m all about it. It’s pretty damn violent, but it’s about killing Nazis, so I’m down with it. Funny how this post about feeding your children just turned upside down. And I’ll probably binge watch Love Island because it’s the trashiest of trash and I’m HERE FOR IT. I want to try out Fleabag because I’ve heard amazing things. Oooo and Big Mouth is always hilarious. Now what else should I watch??

Oh, Hi! I’m Juli.

I’m a food hoarder. And a really bad dancer. If you don’t know me well, you will probably not understand my humor. Therefore, I apologize ahead of time. Thanks for listening to my ramblings of my ever-changing life and trusting my kitchen mishaps. Your trust in me is appreciated.

  1. Fleabag is the best! I think you’re going to love it, she’s so irreverent! The show is so funny and breaks your heart a little. I love it so much!
Thanks for the recipe! I have everything on hand, including the kid that needs being entertained *eye roll emoji*

  2. Fleabag is great. I also really enjoyed The Outsider on HBO…scared the shit out of me but I am a baby. Other good shows: Broadchurch, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and can’t wait to watch Westworld. I COMPLETELY agree that 2020 sucks! I have already decided that I need to throw a giant NYE party to send this year out the door! But on the bright side, brownies are my favorite. Thanks for the distraction:)

  3. You’re the best. For not only these delicious brownies, but for the home workouts you’re sharing! So generous. Thanks for being you, I sure appreciate you!

  4. Will also be doing takeout this weekend and also plan to tip as though I had eaten in that restaurant (20%). Whatever we can do to help.
    LOVED Fleabag!

  5. Thanks for making me laugh in a world of chaos and unknowns right now! As a mutual lover of The Bachelor…do you recommend Love Island? I need a show to look forward right now like I do The Bachelor! I love Younger on Hulu! 🙂

  6. Thanks Juli!
I’ve been eating crap too along with my kids… Things I haven’t eaten in a decade have suddenly reentered. Sigh…. Such strange times.
Watch Sex Education on Netflix with Gillian Anderson- it’s fantastic!
I appreciate your uplifting posts and will definitely make these brownies with my kiddos.
Best wishes to you, yours, puppy and your injured friend.

      1. Do these have a similar taste to RX bars? These look much more moist and delicious. I’m not a big fan of the flavor of RX bars but I am a big fan of every single recipe I’ve tried from you. They are all incredible! Thanks for the free workouts as well. Really appreciate you.

  7. hey juli! love this recipe and am thrilled that i didn’t have to leave the house for any new ingredients! one thing that might need an edit — i think you forgot to mention where to mix in the cocoa powder 🙂

  8. So delicious and easy to make! We rarely have dessert but I’ve been trying to have some healthier desserts for after dinner for the kids to have something to look forward to! Especially now that they are at home and aren’t being offered sugar everywhere they go! Thank you for stepping out of your comfort zone and keep the “kids” recipes coming!

  9. My batter not crumbly, but very sticky and hard to spread on parchment paper. Taste is good
