We are over half way through the year of 2016 and so far I have shared 74 recipes just this year for you amazing people!! I THINK I counted that correctly, but who the hell knows. That’s a lot of freaking recipes! And if you don’t check out the blog every single week, you may have missed one of my favorite recipes of the year! This year has been an extremely fun, happy and exciting time and I really think that my cooking and my recipe development have gotten better because of that! This is my 4th or 5th year of blogging and I truly think my recipes keep getting better with time. And because you guys keep coming back, I keep making new recipes that I hope you guys completely love!
This year has been full of change: adding in more workouts, more outfits, and more opinions to PaleOMG. But one thing stays the same: delicious, healthy and inspiring recipes. Whenever someone mentions on social media that I don’t share enough recipes, I wish I could just lead them directly to a page that says, “You’re a dumb dumb. Here are over 650 FREE paleo recipes to help keep you excited about eating paleo. So please, refrain from being dumb.” But sadly, I would get in trouble for that. Surprisingly, people don’t like when you call them dumb, weird!
Anywho, out of the 74 recipes I’ve shared in 2016, here are 24 of my absolute favorites! They range from breakfast, to dinner to drinks and, of course, dessert. If you are wondering what recipes to make from my blog, wonder no more. You should absolutely try all of these recipes below. Some are easy, some are a little more complicated, but all are AWESOME!! I wouldn’t lie to you. I may call you dumb, but I would never lie to you. So go make these and let me know which ones are your favorite!!
Huevos Rancheros Tostadas with Creamy Tomatillo Salsa
This is one of those recipes that seems a bit daunting because of how long the ingredients list is. But I promise you, IT’S SO WORTH IT!! Just plan ahead so you can make these for a special Sunday or birthday or dog’s half birthday. Whatever excuse you need, just find it and then make it!!
Barbacoa Eggs Benedict with Chimichurri Hollandaise
All smoothies should be eaten in a bowl. Because then it feels like you’re eating ice cream. This one is so good because it has so much different textures and flavors. You’ll never be bored with the endless possibilities of smoothie bowls!
Chocolate “Peanut Butter” Protein Smoothie Bowl
Lemon Basil Seared Scallop Pasta
Asian Glazed Five Spice Pork Tenderloin
I mad this recipe right before I left for our wedding in Jamaica and I shared absolutely no of it with my husband. It was soooooo good and I couldn’t stop eating it. You HAVE to make this one.
“Peanut” Pineapple Chicken Kabobs
I love curry as much as I love my dog. That’s a freaking lot. So I’ve been trying to make the perfect curry for a long time now. This is it. This is my perfect curry that makes me want to dance in the street and sing weird songs. Make sure to use ALL the ingredients in this recipe so you can feel the same!
Slow Cooker Tomatillo Pork Chile Verde
Creamy Cauliflower Shrimp Chowder
This recipe is a whole lot of work, I won’t lie. BUT it’s 100% worth it if you’re really craving some take out food. It’s not great for leftovers, but it’s so awesome that you won’t want to save anything for leftovers.
I made these cupcakes recently and they are by far my best work! I love them so damn much!
Vanilla Berry Cupcakes with Vanilla Bean Pastry Buttercream
Mixed Berry Vanilla Bean Cream Tarts
These are one of my favorite desserts I’ve made. They are like little candy bars. And they are great right out of the fridge. I was so sad when these were no longer in my house.
Chocolate “Peanut Butter” Cookie Bars
Sea Salt Caramel Brownie Ice Cream
Stop thinking about it…just make these. They are effing delicious.
Cardamom Caramel Pear Upside Down Cake

Hi Juli! Have you ever done a post on your favorite/must-haves when it comes to cook & bake-ware, kitchen gadgets, etc? I need to get new pans pretty soon & would love to know what you use or recommend if there are certain things you really like!
Also, thank you for continuously working so hard to provide amazing recipes & content for us, you’re amazing! 🙂
i haven’t!! but i’ll put that on my list of things to create and share what i use myself! thanks for the recommendation!
The chocolate “peanut butter” cookie bars are by far my favorite recipe of yours that I have made so far… which is saying something considering I make 2-3 of your recipes each week.
I made a batch and am keeping them in my freezer.. I am excited for my whole30 to end so I can have them again!
You and your recipes are awesome! Reading your posts have become a part of my morning routine, and the meals being made in my kitchen lately have been coming from the blog or your latest cookbook I just bought and I have yet to be disappointed. Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work!
awesome!!! that’s so cool to hear, ashlyn! hope every other recipe you try in the future is on point!!
Thanks so much Juli for sharing so many awesome recipes! I LOVE the pineapple chicken skewers and the bimbimbap. I’ve also tried loads of your older recipes this year and I think you have always made some excellent stuff!!
Thanks for the recap Juli, so many that I had simply forgotten about!
Also thanks for being awesome, real and just you. Honesty is so rare in the blogging world and I love that, for good or bad, you’re just keeping it real. 🙂
Thanks Juli! You’re awesome. Going to make the pancakes over the weekend (or this afternoon…).
Juli, your recipes rock my kitchen on a regular basis, but that beef bulgogi! I make it EVERY WEEK, whether for breakfast or dinner (sometimes both, it’s usually just me I’m cooking for anyway!). Actually, I’m making it tonight for some friends… I’ll tag you on instagram 🙂
Wow, I can’t even start on this list! I love so many recipes–the eggs benedict, Thai peanut kebabs, the shrimp green curry, the vanilla cupcakes, chocolate peanut butter cookie bars, salted caramel ice cream, samoa brownies, EVERYTHING pretty much 🙂 I can’t wait for more for the next half of the year!
