Thanksgiving is here and it’s hella weird this year. But just because it’s hella weird, due to the fact that it’s 2020 and the world has turned upside down, doesn’t mean you can’t have a delicious Thanksgiving meal. We won’t be having anyone over other than my BIL and SIL, so it will just be all of us kids hanging out at the house. No grown-ups allowed. Sure, we may be in our 30s and almost 40s so I guess we are considered grown-ups by now, but I feel like I’ll never be as old as my parents. I guess the age part is inevitable, but I don’t see myself spending my days watching birds. My parents LOVE birds. Does that just come with age and I should just start reading bird books now to get ahead of it? At the same time, I have a friend whose parents just bought a badass condo in downtown Denver so they can walk to all the bars and restaurants, and go to concerts and shows on weekends. So maybe the bird watching is by choice? I guess only time will tell. Until then, I’ll be spending my days making new recipes for you so I can put together round-up posts like this one. Go have yourself a lovely Thanksgiving, ok?

Ok, I snorted laughing at your watching birds comment. My husband (he’s 43 years old) got a bird feeder and is constantly checking to see what birds are visiting. But he also started looking at townhomes in downtown Little Rock so we could be near the restaurants and bars we like to go to so maybe there is some hope for him after all…
hahhahahahaha
Ah thank you for the roundup! Needed this! I’m going to a vegetarian thanksgiving this year…. so I need all these sides. Sob.. no bacon brussels.
Also can I come to your thanksgiving? It sounds so fun!
right? i think this year is going to be pretty fun!
I HATE birds! I had a friend who had a bird that would try to land on your shoulder. It would laugh at me because it terrified me.
I have made your Brussels Sprouts and Mushroom Gratin since the year you first posted it for Thanksgiving. My family now demands I make it every year.
Yesterday my brothers dog got sprayed and bit by a rabid skunk. My poor SIL spend the night in the ER and now has to get rabies shots. Needless to say our plans have changed. I wish I could come to yours. We’re closing on our house next week so everything is packed up ready for the movers on Friday. Very long winded way of saying thank you for all your recipes!!
omg that’s terrible!! what a nightmare! but so happy to hear everyone loves the brussels sprouts & mushroom gratin!
