I don’t like sports. I don’t like watching them, playing them, talking sh*t about them. It’s not my style. I honestly think they are a waste of time. Why are you watching sports when you could be playing them? And why are you talking sh*t to someone about their opposing team? One time, in college, I was walking through our opposing team’s campus during a game and I had a guy call me a whore. A damn whore for having my own team’s colors on. After that, I refused to watch it from there on out.
But then I met my fiance. And he likes that sh*t. It sucks. Because he supports me in anything that I do, so I have to do the same. But to meet in the middle, he bribes me with food. This is why I love him. If there is a game on, he’ll make sure I have food packed ready to go at any point as I become a whiny b*tch. Man, there’s a lot of cursing going on here. Definitely going to have a few choice emails written to me about that. I’m sorry, it’s the sports talking, it gets me all riled up.
Anywho, if you’re a sports watcher with a kind heart and a tummy that prefers clean food, don’t worry. JB’s got yo back. I’ve put together my favorite finger food, snacks, meals that will please any appetite, drinks and desserts so no one will go hungry at your next positive, supportive sports game. 100% with you on just not being into sports! I’ve tried so hard and I can’t! Of course same as you, my husband is obsessed and sports is on constantly. It’s a struggle! Food is seriously the only good thing about sports – love the roundup.
lol smart husbands make sure there is food around during games
I just wanted to say that I am a huge fan of yours!! I love your attitude and I love your books! You remind me soooo much of myself. When I first bought your OMG. That’s Paleo book and saw your pictures with the food processor and slow cooker, I knew you were awesome, because I’ve definitely done that myself =) Please come to Ohio some day! We need some awesome paleo stars and exhibits to come this way!
awwwww thanks Ashley!! we are destined to be friends in some life!!
I’ve made the smoky/spicy candied cashews for Super Bowl. They are fantastic! In fact, there was one fella who just loved em so I sent the container home with him and he thought he struck gold! One hint is to make sure to use parchment unless you want to throw your pan away….LOL
I love that spinach and artichoke dip of yours!
Planning to make the jalapeño popper chicken chili from your cookbook! Do you have to brown the ground chicken and ground beef before tossing it all in the crockpot? Thank you! Can’t wait to try it! ????
You don’t have to brown it, just throw it all in the crockpot!
So easy! Perfect!! Thank you so much!!!
